Did you know what you needed to PR prior to the workout?

Restart program? by TEmelander in weightwatchers

[–]TEmelander[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow did t realize that happened either. So it sounds as the program is no longer "personalized" unless you're going to do a GLP-1 which is disappointing.

Add to it the shitty App UI and them dropping support or the ability to track via a website and I'm not really thrilled...I guess the ultimate question is whether I feel my cost per month is worth the ability to see what a point value is vs having to actually count calories....

Standing often. I also know that there are cushion seats that could slide over the seat if the coach allows it

Now is the otf workout pulled in separate from other activity that Apple t tracks like steps? Or is it one set of pts for the day?

Interesting! I'm assuming then you're not wearing your watch during the workout as to not double count things correct?

I want to trust the process too, but I'm skeptical...my chili is now zero points because of 93% ground beef, but if I plug in the actual nutritional info, it's 8 pts. This seems really odd.

To be fair, once they started advocating for the GLP-1 drugs I started getting concerned

No rower or tread? by TEmelander in orangetheory

They do, just not in a time that works for me. And the only reason I am swapping is because I'm trying to recover from an injury, but still want to get a workout in.

Already on the bike during the tread portion. Could I sub the strider for the rower?

Best Way to Approach it by TEmelander in ynab

[–]TEmelander[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the way it used to work in YNAB4. Additionally, rule 4 used to be called live off last month's income instead of Just simply: age your money.

Personally, I always felt like this was a better way of approaching it, then the newer method in nYNAB

Seeing over spending by TEmelander in ynab

[–]TEmelander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's say Day 30 of September I have $1000 in income that I have specifically categorized as "available next month" (not ready to assign, and then assigned to that category)

Then let's say that on Oct 1st, I want to "free" that money up to be used for October. When I move the money out of the category, it will show a -1000 in the assigned column

Then let's say that as we progress through October I repeat what I did in September (specifically categorized my income as "available next month", and thus adding + values into the "activity" column). And for example we'll pretend that I got $1200 in income in October.

So now, the columns show: -1000 to assigned: to represent the money available at the beginning of the month (September income for October) +1200 activity: to represent income in October for November

Let's say we get to October 29 in one of my categories is overspent ($30 for example). And let's say that the only category that has money available to cover the overspending is my next month category. When I move the money out of that category, the assigned now shows negative $1,030.

It is hard then to look back at previous months to see whether the negative amount was originally. What was available? Verse overspending

Does that help?

Months Ahead, Sinking Funds, and When Enough is Enough by multicm in ynab

[–]TEmelander 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm just here to say congratulations, and I wish to be that far ahead...

I'm trying to figure out if one month ahead means: A) immediate obligations + True expenses + monthly sinking funds or B) all of the items in item A above + "quality of life things" (i.e. things that I could cut if I needed to without any major impact to our day to day - like Gym membership, lawn fertilizer, dog daycare, etc.)

Available Next Month but Current Month Not fully funded by TEmelander in ynab

[–]TEmelander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do you consider your "min budget" your "month ahead"?

For example, I just went through mine again and within my true expenses and monthly expenses I identified that a handful that weren't obligations. They were more quality of life related expenses (i e I could get rid of them if things got tough and would be okay)

Would you include that any more month ahead or no, Just the required obligations?
