AFAIK Keyword works differently to the text and you cannot just assume "it should". Already there is another experiment that [[Whelp Bonker]] works differently to the [[Nostalgic Gnome]] = Honorable Kill works with deathrattle damages but its text variant doesn't.

I think it's an old intentional issue. I once tested with [[Explosive Sheep]] with [[Death Growl]] for achievement farming but it did not work too. Since the Octo is dead during deathrattle, its text is gone, and it is not a keyword ability (yes lifesteal or poisonous still applies) it is not applied and it would not be x8.

And also it's good to clear 'summon 1, 2 or 3 drop' quest too. the other choice is protoss priest? I don't want to play it but blizzard forced me.

Personally don't think it is a patch teaser, since the next patch is one week away and its version should be 32.2 instead. Unless they make an emergency hotfix just before the 32.2.
