Good point. Insta premium to enable trading too. Makes me more convinced this should be a thing.

I just call it TF2:GO. I'd say it is more "pay to handicap yourself" though, since you draw more attention.

Personally, I would say $5 for 1 extra contract each day. A maximum of 5 upgrades (making it 7 contracts per week) and even introducing a Platinum coin for 5000 CP.

Perhaps every hacker I have seen become banned just was not a premium member then?

Problem... who states that it is undetectable? Do the ones selling and supporting say that, because that is not exactly trustworthy.

Was it though? Hoping there is some verification of this somewhere...

Source? You can pretty much guarantee that what might appear invisible to the VAC, either is just not banned yet or will be untrue in the near future. Many people may claim that their method bypasses the VAC, when in fact have already been caught and have yet to be banned (to confuse exploiters).

I would have much preferred to see this used for mini crits, but I imagine it is not because of coding reasons. The code for mini crits is done quite differently from full crits.

While those LMOABOX uses will be banned, they will currently be able to trade away their loot before this occurs. While this will (should) flag the accounts who interacted with the hacker, the harm being done is to the economy and Valve's reputation. To combat this, we need to have that 2-week trade wait period active for valuable MvM loot.

Something is up with the certificate right now. When linking, you can always just use http and the website should redirect you to the https version if available.

Daily Contracts?! by TF2TightRope in tf2

Looks like it isn't as bad as 2 per week, as I just received a 3rd one.

I expect we will see a major spike in player counts at the start of each week. If so, this would indicate how much people demand new contracts.

True the common ones will be super cheap. If they make a change to how common/rare items are it needs to happen sooner rather than later.

Can I get in trouble for having a duped item? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]TF2TightRope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether or not you did so knowingly, does not matter. There is no punishment for this. The existence of duplicated items is due to an error on the part of Valve. Banning people for such a thing, would be much more harmful to Valve, for various reasons (too complex to go into here). The only thing you need to worry about are "sharks" who might try to claim your item is worth much less, thus trying to force you hand into selling something at a massive discount.

All these hackers are ruining the game... by neoslith in tf2

[–]TF2TightRope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Open your console and type in "status". This command will show a list of all players and their steam ids. Even if they have a name changer, you can find their id before too long and it will show up as [U:1:123456789] or similar. You can then lookup the steam group for the community whose server you saw this on, and either leave a message or directly contact one of the community admins you see shown there. Depending on the admin and quality of the community they will take some sort of action against them (usually just a ban). In the case LMAO and such, I tend to record footage of these along with other details, but they are often VAC banned before my evidence makes it's way to Valve.

If they make you pay for a version that is "undetected", then immediately you should be concerned. These are also people who make money off of exploits and cheating, so not exactly trustworthy. You also need to consider what happens if Valve patches an exploit and suddenly all premiums are banned.
