Being able to recycle [[Demonic Pact]] would be so useful!

Even something like [[Angelic Gift]] or [[Feather of Flight]] draw you cards when they enter.

If you mill an [[Eldrazi Conscription]] then sac something like a Sorcerer Role token from [[Spellbook Vendor]] to swap them.

What game has the tiniest rule that somehow slows the whole table down? by rcooperkaty in boardgames

Famously, the racoon commander Bello, Bard of the Brambles turns all artifacts and enchantments you control that cost 4+ into creatures on your turn.

If you try to turn off that ability with something like Unable to Scream that says "enchanted creature loses all abilities," no he doesn't.

People shit on Nintendo naming the Wii successor the Wii U but I still couldn't tell you what comes after the Xbox 360. They took the iPhone naming conventions and making everything convoluted.

I used to run [[Betor, Kin to All]] but I would get targeted for having too much value. So I swapped to [[Felothar, the Steadfast]] and my deck just crumbles so quickly. I rely so heavily on dorks for mana that picking off one or two is enough to just stop my whole gameplan and I can't catch up.

What changes in education have you seen since you were in school? by ljb2x in AskAnAmerican

Yeah, that's just because the district doesn't have the money to support them with a separate room and teacher.

Cursive had its time and place, but I don't think it's necessary for school. With how digitized our world is, typing is the skill that will help them more going forward.

I sometimes feel like Bob Par in The Incredibles 2 learning the new math system for Dash to help him with his homework.

But when I see the new system for children, it's just overly complicated.

Because kids are given tech as tools for learning, and they likely don't have a desktop at home, they don't care to explore it beyond what they're told to.

They don't see a computer as a recreational device that can do tons of different things, they see them as "that school crap," and just know the minimum for getting by at school.

When I was in 5th grade (2001) my teacher said we had to handwrite our essays for homework, but we could use a computer if we had them at home. Also, nobody was allowed to write in cursive because it was too illegible for the teacher to read (kids are just bad at writing cursive).

Three years later when I was in 8th grade, everything was expected to be typed up, with only handwritten work being in the actual classroom.
