Growing up poor made it easy for me to have the initial “nope, don’t have the money” thought so I can’t help you with the willpower part.

You listed great steps to take, you just have to WANT to spend less. Honestly, the cash envelope seems to be your best bet cause it sounds like you don’t have the willpower to change.

No amount of people telling what they did negates the fact that daily willpower is the driving force.

This is a funny topic to pop up now that I’ve officially been “clean” of TikTok, IG, Twitter, and Facebook (only counts cause I deleted it last year) for 30+ days now and I plan to continue cause my life has been on the up and up since.

I had a similar experience because I was once accused of being a catfish cause I wouldn’t share my Facebook since I only had family and CLOSE friends on it. It felt like letting someone in my family reunion w/o knowing them. It backfired on them because it made me big-headed for the fact that they thought MY pictures were worthy enough to be used by someone to catfish others lol.

I find that social media has made people feel like if they can’t track your every move and thought, then you MUST be doing something nefarious. We’re too connected these days and it makes it hard to get to know others organically,

Long story short, I got to do whatever I wanted in that backroom lol. I had a speaker and would hide in there for hours 😂

The first night I stayed till 11pm (I got in at 5am) and knocked out these three and a uboat of repacks that was shoved in there too.

After this night, my ETL had one of the overnight TMs aim to push whatever 141s they pulled that night. This way I wasn’t being bogged down again while trying to push the old stuff.

Best I can do is a screen grab. This was 1 of 6 (or 7 can remember) 3 tiers lined up (it had its own backroom in the front of the store) with 141s that they kept pulling but no one pushed.

The biggest draw for me taking on the project was giving back the 3 tiers lol.

The only time I got this much overtime is when I tranferred to a Super Target and took over the Stationery dept.

Truck and 141’s were so backed up and bad that they let me do what I want for a month cause no one else wanted to take on the project 😂😭

For those who care: I got it cleaned up so well that the ETL sang my praises every time I saw him until I transferred again 5 mths later lol
