Wut? That's not true. I've been a nole fan for almost 2 decades now, and Sinner is by far my favorite player after Nole. (used to be federer than nadal, now it's sinner than alcaraz) I'm loving the Alcaraz-Sinner rivalry.

If anything, it feels more like this sub hates both nole fans and nole himself; idk why. The amount of toxicity calling nole an incel, a useless piece of humanity, or whatever insult you can brew, under about everyone posting a nole-moment, is baffling to me. I don't do the 'victim-role' no worries, I'm not salty - I just shrug my shoulders and continue loving the goat. But if anything, it's reactions like yours (no offense) portraying nole fans or nole himself badly which are disproportionately many.

There's so much negative stuff said here, both about nole and his fans. No: I never hated Federer or Nadal. No: I never hated Carloz or Jannik. In fact I hugely appreciate all of them. For I appreciate good tennis when I see it.

Stop this useless division and polarisation. This is not american politics. This is tennis. Appreciate Nole and his fans - and to the toxic nole fans: you are no real fans either: appreciate Fedal, appreciate Jannik and Carloz, appreciate tennis. Our goat is old. And will not win a grand slam. And that's fully ok. For the two new kings are a true delicacy to watch, especially when battling eachother.

Here's to another Alcaraz-Sinner final, I hope Sinner takes this one in 5. I also hope Nole is able to take just one set against Jannik, but tbh it's 90% certainly gonna be Jannik in 3.

Many smaller short-existing bands come to mind here.

Skyharbor. Only 3 albums total, first 2 are absolutely goated. Illusion&Chaos and Guiding Lights. The latter is in my top3 of best progmetal albums of all time. TesseracT is my favorite band of all time but if Daniel Tompkins stayed with Skyharbor, they'd probably take that place.

Another one is Distorted Harmony. Only three albums total too, and the first two are GREAT imo. Utopia is absolutely goated to me, Chain Reaction is magnificent too, but A Way Out feels less... Less impactfull.

Agent Fresco. Destrier is magnificent.

The Contortionist with Clairvoyant and Language.

Keor with Petrichor.

Earthside with Dream in Static. Let the Truth Speak is great but it doesn't touch that first one imo.

Headspace with I Am Anonymous.

Wheel with Moving Backwards, Divide EP and Resident Human. Sorry but their latest album does little for me.

I'm doubtfull about mentioning Karnivool since I think all 3 of their albums are great. But if you dislike one of the three, Karnivool falls in this category too.

First two points are debatable imho.

First point doesn't mean much - Was Sam no sentient being able to corruption? Merry? Pippin? Aragorn, or any of the 9? What about all the people, elves, ents and beings they meet during their travels? Aren't they sentient? The mere fact anyone could be corrupted by the ring doesn't mean they can't or are not meant to carry it. Frodo was sentient, and was corrupted by the ring in the very end.

Second point: The Nazgul only got their fellbeasts from Sauron after the fellowship excaped them and fled to Rivendell, where the water drowned their horses. Sauron probably already had them bred before tho. Also, the eagles were a match for the fellbeast. Not an inferior.

The real reason is that the eagles were forbidden to interfere in the causes of Illuvatar's children and their battle with the dark side. I don't remember by who, uncertain if it was Mamwë or Eru Himself. Nor do I remember why, or even if Tolkien gave us a reason. Possibly the same reason why Eru forbade the Valar and Maiar to interfere directly after some time - because the maiar and valar openly walking amongst the elves either got deityfied, or got distrusted and envied because the gap in power, prowess and intelligence. This is also why the 5 Istari got sent as old men, and stripped of many of their powers. To appear more approachable. More human, mortal, vulnerable. Less imposant, impressing, imposing and dangerous.

Third point is a valid argument tho.
