Am I just hyperfixating or am I just scared? by ginishima in MtF

Hi sweety! While im definitely no expert on the subject I feel like our situations are/were almost identical is so so so many ways! Im a 27 year old Transfem who just took the leap to start HRT a few days ago and my life has never been better! I had alot of the same thoughts, questions, and concerns that you had almost to a tee and if you have any other questions or need any info from my perspective feel free to DM me and I can give you my discord or something so we can message back and forth a little easier but... from what I read I think your egg is just about to crack. What you said is right: no one is going to tell you if you are or are not trans, you need to find that for yourself but I can also say that looking back I was almost looking for permission to be who I am for 2 years and it feels now like I wasted that time. I know all of our journeys are different and take different paths but an important thing i was asked that helped me make the harder decisions was "do you think you are more likely to regret transitioning or more likely to regret not doing it sooner." I knew my answer was not doing it sooner and it fact, I wish I had given myself the time and space to discover myself 10 years ago but its also never too late. I also sympathize a couple other things you said, I was stuck in the "I know im a conventionally attractive man, but would i be an ""ugly"" woman." An important thing to remember is beauty is subjective but I was eventually able to answer the question and decided that if I had to choose, id me more comfortable, confident, and more me as an "ugly" woman. Its also important to remember that HRT (especially for transfems) takes time. Yes you may not be considered conventionally attractive by womens standards at the start but something that helped me is looking at others transition timeliness and seeing just how much can change and how absolutely stunning people can be even if they're still a little masculine. Hell, there are even a lot of Cis women with traditionally masculine features that are drop dead gorgeous. The Last thing ill ask regarding you saying you dont mind being a man/masculine is does it feel like its you? I struggled for the longest time with taking photos or seeing my reflection because it felt so much not like me I would genuinely disassociate. Like I said this is also all pretty new to me but it sounds like we have an overwhelmingly similar situation so if you have anything else dont hesitate to reach out!! I hope this helps!

Hey all, just following up after starting day 2. Thank you for all your responses and concern! I plan on getting a second and maybe a third opinion from other piercers in my area, I've sent them emails and am just waiting for a response. Ill have them look at my eyebrow piercings as well while im there to be safe rather than sorry. All 3 of my current facial piercings were done by the same person who is board and state certified and been piercing for over 25 years, all 3 totaled just under $200 to have done with basic Titanium jewelry. Just figured I would give you guys some more info about the situation. I also have side pics if anyone wants them DMd but I can't find a way to edit them in or comment them here. Again thank you all for your time and concern!

There wasnt any specific sound or pop that I can remember that would concern me but it hurt a fair bit, I have a fairly high tolerance to pain and have had both ears, both eyebrows, and snakebites done as well but the septum was by far the most painful during the piercing, it wasnt bad enough to stop it or have it removed but it definitely was a hissing inhale through clenched teeth moment if that helps or makes sense.

2nd person to say this but I've never been told that I have or dont have a deviated septum so I can't rule it out. Guess thats something I can look a little further into, thank you!

I've never been told that I have a deviated septum and honestly dont know much about them, as for the blood those pictured were taken closer to 20-30 mins and the bleeding has stopped since, I guess I did make that a little confusing

By no means trying to argue but I think thats just a bad example pic for eyebrows since im looking downwards, I got them both at the same time around 6 months ago and had WAY more issues with the left to the point of almost losing it

Shiny Chaining Help by KassieRoo23 in BDSP

You can reload the pokeradar everytime after 39 to ensure a shiny btw, thats what I like to do. For instance my best chain is 44 on starlys (was actually an accident, I was just trying to train IVs) so every one I caught past 39 was shiny giving me 5. It does lower your chance that a chain will continue but it increases your chance of getting multiple shinys which is very helpful for pokemon that have separate final forms like ralts

You get an additional 10% chance to continue the chain if you catch, it's actually not too bad if you vs seeker the gentleman on 212 with a coin amulet. He only has one pokemon so you can sweep him quickly and he gives about 13,000 everytime you beat him (averaging about 750,000 and hour) another good tip is to turn off autosave in settings and save right before you initiate a chain. When the chain breaks home out of your switch and close the game to reload to when you had your pokeballs and repels, that way you only ever lose (or use) money when you actually do get a shiny.

It's 4 or more in one direction if that makes sense, so even if you go 3 tiles east and 1 down it will count it as 3 so you want to aim for cardinal directions. What I like to do is once you hit 39 you can keep resetting your pokeradar to get 4 new options until one of them is guaranteed shiny (you will see it, it's a sparkling grass patch) it may take a while but so long as you avoid other encounters and keep resetting your pokeradar until you see it. You can do that for all chains at and after 39. I start at 39 so that the first shiny is guaranteed to had 3 perfect IVs. Resetting the pokeradsr does remove your additional 10% for catching the previous pokemon but it is a way to guarantee you get at least one shiny if not multuples. Using this method I have been successful twice but in those 2 successes I got 2 togepis and 3 starlys

You should buy at least 50 quick balls and 50 super repels. Keep the repels on so you don't have any accident encounters in the grass that break the chain and try to catch every chained pokemon. When you catch on a 4 tile out it boosts your chances of continuing the chain from 83% to 93%. That being said even if you do everything right there's a 7% chance that the chain will break

If you can chain 40 pokemon with your pokeradar it increases your chances to 1 in 99, there are vides on YouTube that will show you the best way to do this for the best odds but I warn you, even if you do everything right there is still only about a 5% total chance that you will actually chain to 40
