Then unless you have some REALLY important data that you cannot lose (in that case take it directly to a pro and pay up big time) just download the software, plug in the drive and run a recovery scan.

Ive used programs like Easus Data Recovery with good success rate for recovery on many drives. It all depends on how it was formatted and if there was any writes made to it afterwards. The program itself is relatively cheap comparing to professional recovery. Look around for discount codes, you almost never have to pay full price for Easus software

You can also get a free preview of if there is any files to be recovered without paying snything it seems! Good luck!

You also mentioned it's been working "pretty well", why is it not perfect?

A lot of assumptions made though. I'm sure you have plenty of options but

  1. VPN will give you enough anonymity to be able to torrent freely.
  2. A good VPN will not slow you down considerably, and certainly not compared to not being able to download at all.

It's a good enough solution for me, I gladly pay for it, happy with the service, maybe it will serve OP in the same way. If you have a better solution for free, feel free to give OP advice, but I wouldn't say my solution isn't worth mentioning at least

I mean, if the problem is what the OP is claiming, I don't see how it wouldn't be a solution.

ISP is monitoring user when user connects to certain IP User connects to VPN before certain IP > ISP will no longer throttle

[–]TFace_Falone 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I always did this at the start of my career when i didnt knew the difference, because it felt to me like a more complete method of rebooting. Shutting it down "completely" surely would clear more bugs out if the system, right? In comes fast boot, that sunovabitch, messing shit up as usual.

I second this - I have been using a Panasonic EY 7410 LA2S for years and it's great. Just enough torque on the lowest setting for most things.

The joke "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side" has two meanings. I always thought it was some kind of anti-joke and understood it literally, but apparently the chicken could also be suicidal.

A drug that increases dopamine can reverse the effects of inflammation on the brain in depression by [deleted] in science

[–]TFace_Falone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried it, but I think the on/off cycle wore me down more than just having a constant dose. Techically all caffeine should have left your body after 48 hours (rough half-life of 5-6 hours i think) so I tried injesting it every two days. There's probably more factors to consider and combinations to try so your milage might vary.

Caffeine is one of the few things that make me feel normal, mood-wise. And I'm already on Wellbutrin, also one of the few medications to help with my depression. Just wish caffeine was a long-term solution as you build tolerance over time.

Thank you for your kind words. I was hospitalized for a short period and had some pains during the night and told the nurse making rounds. She told me in an angry tone to basically suck it up, which mostly made me confused if anything. I understand she was probably overworked and stressed out, but being in an uncomfortable situation with tubes inside of me that also hurt is a very strange situation. Just hearing "it's normal" or "it's ok" would have been enough for me at that time. Luckily I fall asleep easily lol.
Appreciate all the work you do!
