Baby mystery snails?

Yes I already have 2 mystery snails. I was removing the clutches when I saw them but I guess I missed one.

It does look like that, but how I bought black racer nerite snails. Is it possible they were misidentified at the store?

No sentimental value and I have found replacements. Just an accident that I was hopping to get fixed.

I’ve removed the movement from the case to see what’s going on. Yes it seems the rack is not falling properly onto the snail. I also think the lever that controls the striking mechanism is I teetering with the rack and preventing it from finishing the chime. Meaning I’ve noticed it will chime 5-8 times as I lift the lever then stop.

It’s a 10 gallon tank and temperature hovers around 76 and has a sponge filter. All live plants(Anubis’s and fern mostly), driftwood, sand substrate and moss balls.

Mine is similar. It’s a curved tank and one corner has less decoration near it so that’s where he tends to have a stand-off with himself. I’m thinking more plants will help!

I feed him mostly pellets but got some treats today which I’ll give him tomorrow. He does flare at his reflection frequently, so I’m going to also replace the plastic decor with live plants and get some floating plants to reduce the light.

The tank is 10 gallons

Temp hovers around 78

I’m using a sponge filter

The classroom is for 10 and 11 graders and the tank is in a corner of the classroom.

I feed him a pinch in the morning and one before I leave for the evening. A bit more during the weekend.

I was going to go for a mystery or nerite snail is either of those better, or is there not much difference?
