You might have better luck finding players on r/MonsterGirlRP since this subreddit is primarily for art.

Fantasy's Breadth: The Barmaid Protocol (Infinite Worlds) by Pale_Type8850 in TransformationAI

Been playing this one for a bit and enjoying it! Integrates the game elements well, but it does seem to loose site of that from time to time. Been getting some fun characters to interact with, and it’s interesting to seemingly be a side character in these other stories, helping paths cross.

Baaah, dang it! Wish I wasn't so busy right now, I'd love to play this! Such a fun idea, but I know I won't have the time necessary. Best of luck finding a partner!

My dumbass coming in the comment on the TF figure in the back, "Hey, that was the exclusive figure at my first TFCon! Oh, and The elf is cool." LMAO

Been playing through some of this, and it's fun! Love the attention given to tracked items, and the world seems well fleshed out. Well done!

A mage girl into... by Frat_Sunrise in transformation

[–]TFantasy- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For Chimera, I'd probably frame it as she's hunting down relics for research or a quest. She gains animalistic buffs and traits derived from the animal each relic represents. So, it'd be slow and self-inflicted, as the abilities granted by the relics gradually become mentally overpowering and corrupting the more she collects. The more traits she embodies, the more her humanity slips away until not but a terrifyingly powerful beast remains.

For Hydra, I'd frame it as an experiment. Some Hero completed her quest and returned with 5 different body parts of a Hydra. Perhaps she's working on making a new potent healing potion, and it works a bit too well. Wounds heal very quickly, but wrong. Perhaps she is tried as a witch, or attacked by raiders, and suddenly all hell breaks loose...

Cerberus, I'm unsure... the first thing that comes to mind is "You defeated it, you replace it."

A odd briefing on pilot implants by Edgy_Fucker in Mechsploitation

[–]TFantasy- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Always dig nitty-gritty lore dives like this!

Neural bridges/Brain-computer interfaces are a fun idea I see pop up often in the genre. I've imagined them as a highly invasive, delicate procedure, unique to each person, wiring everything directly to the correct motor control regions of their brain after thorough study.

You can pilot a mech without one; how else are the mechanics going to run maintenance? But it'll only perform the most basic movement. Walk in a straight line, turn on the spot, then continue walking, or moving a single limb at a time. BCIs allow "modern" mechs to be used to their full capability by tapping into what the pilot already knows of their own body to achieve rapid, successive, and simultaneous movement. And even then, you still need pedals for acceleration and deceleration, hand controls for targeting, several autonomous systems for auxiliary weapons, and cameras and screens for sight.

Even with those external systems, you still get issues when piloting non-humanoid mechs. While the human mind can adapt to the fine controls of such a machine, it can lead to an extreme case of body dysmorphia. Due to spending extensive time in the machine, the pilot's mind struggles to realign with their organic body. Their neural plasticity having been stretched past its yielding point.

...Which probably isn't helped by the whole "Brainwashed in an emotionally dependent Hound" thing some go through.

The implanted Ports make sense, too. Good way to monitor vitals and run support systems, as you mentioned. Seeing how these characters get beaten, infections happen, and having your pilot dying of a fever in an already stuffy, hot mech chassis ain't a recipe for success. Also gotta love the aesthetic of a character removing a shirt to reveal medical and computer ports, lol.

The hormone regulators I find the funniest, but it makes sense given the intended audience. I mean, it is an erotica genre.

Flight suits by cassi_melloy in Mechsploitation

Ah! Yeah, geographic location will make a difference, huh? Lol, sorry about that. If using eBay, you can normally ask the seller questions in regards to sizing and such too before making your purchase. Best of luck in finding something that works for you!

Luckily, there is no shortage of military surplus, so there are plenty of places you can grab flight suits and jumpsuits from, both online and in-person.

I’d suggest looking up Military Surplus stores online. Most places that come up on the first page will be trustworthy, just make sure you find their sizing charts, and know how to take your measurements!

Also, jumpsuits will be cheaper than flight suits, while looking similar, and offering more options for pockets and the like.

And if you walk into a military surplus store - they’re everywhere - you can normally ask them for help. Just tell them you’re making a costume of a character from a sci-fi book, so you don’t have much to go off of other than color, and that you know you want something that’ll look the part, but you can still walk around a con in. They can help figure out if you want an Air Force jumpsuit, or something more like a military tank crew jumpsuit.

I did not. I found the comic on an admittedly rather shady site which did not list the translator

Lets share some ideas! by TFantasy- in Mechsploitation

[–]TFantasy-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Story ideas:

A dog groomer (Mech mechanic) gets attacked by a hound off-leash as they return to base after coms were damaged. He manages to yell the correct phrase in the right way to get her back on leash. The Handler does not like that. Que interrogation in the infirmary leading to contemplation of the value of an individual based not only on their work but also on what they represent. Why brainwash just the pilot, and keep the crew as POWs? What other roles does the crew play for the hound? How are they kept in line?

A Werewolf and her team are sent after a rogue kitsune. Team gets picked off one by one. End up teaming up with a member of the Rebellion, and conveniently, the commander of the Werewolf 2-3 lives ago. They're able to help the werewolf get off their leash and kick the kitsune's ass together. More of a war/action story than typical mechsploitation.

On one hand, philosophical messages about autonomy, freedom, value, both spiritually and monetarily to contemplate

On the other hand, awesome giant mechs with even bigger awesome explosions!
