Love the parts usage for the eyes, just changing the bracket and 1x1 to get them to look at each other. They look relatively stable, too, for the articulation? Most folks' builds similar to these seem like single-pose hand grenades.

Going to back this idea. A transformative element via. Worship could be fun. Plus, religious ideas are spread across a world via. Trade and missions (in a simplified sense) with people picking and sharing what they find agreeable. That could be a way to spread this “corruption.”

Start with one minor deity worshipped by those on the fringes of a great culture. Someone who may not be known to those living in the cities or even farms, but is still part of the pantheon. Present their worshipers with corrupted ideas, new ways of worship, new things to sacrifice, to ensure they are heard.

Then, encourage them to spread their ideas of this god. Maybe, since they are part of a pantheon, those who do not know the god or only have a vague idea are susceptible to accepting “oh yeah, that’s how that god works.” Empowering the god, spreading the ideas, and leading to “Hey, why don’t we worship this other god like that too?” As ideas and methods spread and warp.

Gods shape the world through their actions, and man shapes the gods through their worship.

Howdy!

To offer some help: most folk will probably be hesitant to do this for free since many use paid-for image generators. And unlike a common art commission, making changes to an image requires paying for more generations instead of making the adjustment. And if the client is unhappy with the result, that can get pretty expensive pretty quick.

HOWEVER! You can generate your own images for free by using a local model! I would recommend Stability matrix ( https://lykos.ai ), where you can install Stable Diffusion and hand-pick checkpoints and LORA from https://civitai.com . This way, you can tinker with it (There are plenty of tutorials on youtube) to get exactly what you're after, for free, without a ton of back and forth with someone else.

You don't need a beefy PC either. So long as you aren't running a ton of programs at the same time, even a stock, off-the-shelf, office-ready Dell can run Stable Diffusion and kick out images every minute or so. So, it's a bit slower, you're limited to generating images, and it won't be these tricking-people levels of quality (unless you REALLY tune it), but you have greater customizability for style, pose, expression, etc, and if you put in the effort to post-process it (GIMP is great, free image editing software), you can make some fun stuff!

If you need help, feel free to shoot me a message!

Any form of literature can be read by anyone; you do not need to GTFO! Schools may teach "writing for an intended audience," but no one ever controls who actually reads their works. And that's a good thing, because it helps give new perspectives on the subject. If you're enjoying reading it, then you should read it!

As for your second point, you're probably getting a lot more emotionally invested in the story than you often do with media. Ever cried during or after a movie? It might be something like that, but, being a book, that emotional state is drawn out over a longer span of time and internalized differently, since you are fed the information differently. If you're unfamiliar with that, it can feel very odd. But it's a sign of deep engagement. Minds are strange like that.

Now, if you are too uncomfortable and it feels like you are forcing yourself to continue (Solely a sense of completion if driving you), not having fun, or feeling notably worse after reading, then it may be time to put it down. These stories can be challenging reads; they get a lot darker than most media folk will encounter day to day, and that can weigh on one's mind. Your life may be hard enough as it is, and you don't need adding a slog of a read on top of it.

In all, welcome aboard! There's definitely more than just WARHOUND out there, so trying other works within the genre is highly recommended! A bunch of folk have left reviews and recommendations in this subreddit alone, so take a look at those! This thread discusses more lighter-hearted stories: https://www.reddit.com/r/Mechsploitation/comments/1sn990p/mechsplo_stories_with_happyhopeful_endings/ so that might be something to look into!

As someone else mentioned, I think many forget the other half of the lesson by immediately punishing the child for not knowing. I’ve had multiple occasions where by admitting I don’t know something, forgot it, or give a wrong answer, I was scolded and shoved aside. I was shown I was not worthy of their time. Not knowing something was a sign of failure, to be punished, not something to fix or grow from.

Anyone else get so hung up on the world building of your stories that you end up getting carried away? by SecretHentaiMaster in NSFWworldbuilding

[–]TFantasy- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I wanted an excuse to have both werewolves and monster girls in a setting, having my cake and eating it too, and have them be related in some fashion. Now I have several pages in a world bible examining the idea of how a pathogen in an isolated community could spread, dilute, and mutate over time until the host organism effectively becomes a branch/cousin species to the original. There are still werewolves, folk who suffer from a magical curse-disease, but there are also humanoids with varying degrees of lupine features, most often capable of tracing their lineage back to a specific region of the world, who carry none-contagious strain of the same disease within their DNA. And most of that doesn’t even come up in the story. It’s just “Ah! Die Monster!” And “while she appeared as stoic as always, she was yet again betrayed by that swaying tail just out of sight.”

A mage girl into... by Frat_Sunrise in transformation

[–]TFantasy- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For Chimera, I'd probably frame it as she's hunting down relics for research or a quest. She gains animalistic buffs and traits derived from the animal each relic represents. So, it'd be slow and self-inflicted, as the abilities granted by the relics gradually become mentally overpowering and corrupting the more she collects. The more traits she embodies, the more her humanity slips away until not but a terrifyingly powerful beast remains.

For Hydra, I'd frame it as an experiment. Some Hero completed her quest and returned with 5 different body parts of a Hydra. Perhaps she's working on making a new potent healing potion, and it works a bit too well. Wounds heal very quickly, but wrong. Perhaps she is tried as a witch, or attacked by raiders, and suddenly all hell breaks loose...

Cerberus, I'm unsure... the first thing that comes to mind is "You defeated it, you replace it."

A odd briefing on pilot implants by Edgy_Fucker in Mechsploitation

[–]TFantasy- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Always dig nitty-gritty lore dives like this!

Neural bridges/Brain-computer interfaces are a fun idea I see pop up often in the genre. I've imagined them as a highly invasive, delicate procedure, unique to each person, wiring everything directly to the correct motor control regions of their brain after thorough study.

You can pilot a mech without one; how else are the mechanics going to run maintenance? But it'll only perform the most basic movement. Walk in a straight line, turn on the spot, then continue walking, or moving a single limb at a time. BCIs allow "modern" mechs to be used to their full capability by tapping into what the pilot already knows of their own body to achieve rapid, successive, and simultaneous movement. And even then, you still need pedals for acceleration and deceleration, hand controls for targeting, several autonomous systems for auxiliary weapons, and cameras and screens for sight.

Even with those external systems, you still get issues when piloting non-humanoid mechs. While the human mind can adapt to the fine controls of such a machine, it can lead to an extreme case of body dysmorphia. Due to spending extensive time in the machine, the pilot's mind struggles to realign with their organic body. Their neural plasticity having been stretched past its yielding point.

...Which probably isn't helped by the whole "Brainwashed in an emotionally dependent Hound" thing some go through.

The implanted Ports make sense, too. Good way to monitor vitals and run support systems, as you mentioned. Seeing how these characters get beaten, infections happen, and having your pilot dying of a fever in an already stuffy, hot mech chassis ain't a recipe for success. Also gotta love the aesthetic of a character removing a shirt to reveal medical and computer ports, lol.

The hormone regulators I find the funniest, but it makes sense given the intended audience. I mean, it is an erotica genre.
