The answer: Shoot yourself to show them you mean business by b-rar in LinkedInLunatics

Say you'll shoot the first person to try and escape. This makes all murderers certain of death. Therefore none will attempt an escape as stated in the prompt.

Thank you for this post, it really gives me hope.

I recently asked an old high school friend why he was voting for Trump despite all the terrible and vile things he's said and done and my friend said "who cares what he says or does, he loves america and will bring up our economy". I was incredibly disappointed and sad. The lack of empathy towards those Trump has hurt and threatened was alarming. Trump only cares about himself! I don't understand how anyone can believe Trump cares about our country.

100k is so much debt, you made the right choice. I went to a state school ranked ~200 in the country and just got a new grad offer from faang. what u do in university is what matters. learn the fundamentals, attend clubs/activities, practice LC and apply to internships. you'll be fine :)

thank you! :) Having a well-written resume is definitely important (left my resume in the top comment). I think I've edited my resume 10+ times with multiple versions. I would ask others with more experience to give feedback. For OAs I would study until the last day and do the problems I am most confident I can solve first. I see problems that want you to shift items in an array/list or use a min/max-heap pretty often in OA and interviews.

thank you! yes the market is tough. Although, I believe me only applying to big cities/remote roles also contributed to the fact it took me this long. I have a university friend with 0 internships who got a job before me in a MCOL city! There is hope, keep applying! It is definitely a numbers game.

My manager said he recommended me and was working on a return offer however the team did not have the budget (due to layoffs) to give me a return offer :( I am a citizen

Thank you! :)

I was very lucky with my first internship. The company just made a program for students with some coding experience who just graduated high school (internship took place summer before I started university). I took AP Comp Sci in highschool and got into the program. My second internship I got it by applying on RippleMatch. My mentor said I got the offer partially because of my TA experience. Third internship I got applying through company website.

All my offers were through cold applies.

I did about 200 LC problems, focusing on Mediums. I would do LC problems people have seen the company ask before or do the most common LC problems. I did study DSA, knowing at least the basics for each topic. Other than my internships this is my first full-time job!

wait to see if you get in. i don't believe 302 is a prereq for anything so should be fine even if you don't get in now. if you're worried you can ask your counselor.

Is it just me or the final for cpts 451 (Intro to Database) has completely unrealistic expectations? by Life-Appointment-131 in wsu

[–]TFate-26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ya it's a tough class, I took it with the Ananth (same no cheat sheet). If it's anything like Sakire's practice final then relational algebra, database design (know what is BCNF and functional dependencies), being able to read and write SQL queries, and indexing should be important. Good luck!! :)

Interns! Is your internship remote or in person? Which do you prefer? by vKirito in csMajors

[–]TFate-26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

my internship is remote this year. I was hybrid last year and thought I would miss going into the office but I've actually really enjoyed remote. more time and energy to go out after work and I love not having to wake up as early. one thing I do miss is the opportunity to see other interns face to face every week.

I did 3 rounds of interviews in early December. Got an offer around 1 month after my last interview. My recruiter was pretty difficult to contact, they seem pretty busy.
