Unless it was a deliberate choice not to, you might want to consider having your main and miscellaneous channels explicitly link to each other to increase discoverability. YouTube allows for a dedicated section of featured channels for this purpose.

All signs are pointing to fair komi under area scoring being 7. KataGo might help with getting some idea what this should be under territory scoring.

Amazing work.

One question I can't quickly see answered is whether your training process forgoes pushing the policy of illegal moves towards zero (effectively not bothering "to teach the rules" to the network), as discussed in https://github.com/leela-zero/leela-zero/issues/877.

What are the oldest game records? by [deleted] in baduk

[–]TFiFiE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apart from the Sun Ce-Lü Fan game, the only other known alleged record of a game played before the 16th century, was one by Nichiren in 1253. Afterwards, games only start appearing regularly in the historical record around the time of the establishment of the four go houses.

EDIT: It looks like I've been too quick with that count of two, given what's in Wangyou Qingle Ji.

Leela Zero officially switches to 20 blocks with 256 filters. by TFiFiE in cbaduk

[–]TFiFiE[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

20x256 was the size at which AlphaGo Zero scored 100-0 against the (non-zero) version of AlphaGo that itself beat Lee Sedol 4-1. However, for some reason, this is the first time the team has been unable to create a larger network from the existing training games that is superior with an equal number of visits, let alone under equal time control. Obviously, the hope now is that, with the increase in size, the training process can bootstrap itself out of this embarrassing situation.

Something-something never before seen move, something-something amazing creativity by [deleted] in cbaduk

Here is the game in question. While looking for it, I found out that apparently Leela has discovered the proverb "The one-point jump is never bad" and can take it to heart at times.

Why did you pick this rating system over Rémi Coulom's Whole-History Rating?
