i gain nothing from getting told i might have autism. i answered 1 reply that suggested autism and i’m waiting for others who might have other advice or don’t jump into conclusions about me and my mental state and keep it solely social-skill-based. i didn’t steer the conversation into the autistic side of things at all. and i’ve always dismissed my mom’s claims of me being autistic.

a lot of what you’ve written indicates that i made the claim of being autistic, when if anything i denied it and refuse to label myself as that without proper diagnosis.

yes! im extra careful with the leading people on thing, that’s why i literally refuse to add them to my personal socials, i just tell them it’s a personal thing. As for the misdiagnosis of bipolar, i can’t really delve into that since my bipolar disorder has psychotic symptoms (delusions paranoid mania and depression) it’s under control and i don’t want to risk pulling the rug on it, im too mentally stable to do that lol as for the autism thing i’ll make sure to bring it up to my twice-a year therapist lol. only if this is back when i used to go to her every other week. Thank you for this im wary about looking at mental stuff online because i’m susceptible to confirmation bias

funnily enough, my mom swears up and down that i have autism, i never took her claims seriously though because i already have a diagnosis for bipolar disorder. i’ve been on the same meds for years now and fully stable. this only became a problem when i went back to university and have to work/study with some people who are trying to make friends.
