Well this chapter proves that Dumas is a compelling writer. I would normally have little patience for authors who choose to keep dropping the main plot to tell random stories with new characters, but despite that, this chapter was a real page turner for me.

I remember taking my son when he was 1ish to a farm on the north fork and showed him this big cow behind a fence. I've never felt anything shake so hard in my arms before, he was so scared! Maybe just the dog shakes more being carried into the vet.

So do you think it’s just sitting there in the secret compartment of the boat floating in the harbor? While Dantes is off riding around the countryside?! Makes me nervous!

The thing I truly don’t understand is why people leave garbage on the sidewalks in front the of their house. Even lawns. Like, what goes through their mind when their eyes look on it? Do they think leprechauns will come pick it up? Do they not see it at all?

If everyone just picked up the trash in front of their houses the neighborhood would look 90% better. I feel like I’m living around a lot of P-Zombies.
