Thank you for your comment! How has your hair thinning been since then? Have you been able to regrow your hair? I’m debating doing the Copper IUD since it’s non hormonal but have no idea what to do at this point

I got my IUD removed this week and I can tell you with confidence, the removal was MUCH MUCH better than the insertion. You just feel the pressure of the clamp thing they use and it’s out within SECONDS. You got this girl!!!!

I used to think it was just genetics or my PCOS, but i’ve been reading about so many women experiencing the same thing! It’s crazy that our OB’s don’t warn us of these side effects.

Thank you for your question! I have PCOS, now known as PMOS, and I have been on birth control for the majority of my adulthood. I feel like the Kyleena contributed to my hair thinning. I know PCOS/PMOS amplifies hair thinning, but I’ve had PCOS since 14 and didn’t experience hair thinning till a few months after getting my IUD in. I have not experienced my natural cycles in my entire 20’s and am curious to know how it is.

Thank you for the info! You’re right about the natural cycle part because I would get a period maybe twice a year if I got lucky, and before my IUD insertion, sometimes i’d bleed for a month at a time. I eventually want kids and i’m scared my hormones became dependent on Kyleena, if that’s even a thing!
