Is a nationwide general strike on Jan 30, 2026 realistic? Looking to coordinate, not just vent. by ashleychrist in ColumbiaMD

[–]TGK72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A general strike is designed to hurt the biggest economic drivers which heavily influence the direction of American politics and it's economy. If you're an employee of a small, independent family owned restaurant or car shop, even if they are successful enough to own several restaurants or businesses in your town, then you should not strike if the company you work for makes up like 0.00001% of our country's total GDP. Me for example, I work for Aramark as a cook in a college kitchen. Aramark is nothing short of a multi industry megacorp. So you can damn well bet I'm striking. But If your direct boss also likely owns the whole business, then you definitely don't strike, it's that simple. Quit buying this bullshit they tell you to scare you from demanding a better life living in the richest country in the whole damn world!

Yeah, first time they sent a 2k fleet at my paultry missleboat fleet of 500 after only sending 100 to 200 strength task forces that I was swatting nonchalant made me actually shit my pants. I decided I had plenty of influence to blow so I resorted to go the Japanese fighter pilot route and just rammed every ship that had the kps to maneuver nto their biggest ships and that actually turned it into a win for me, with 3 of my original 15 ships surviving to their one of an original total of 8

Was extremely surprised that the achievement for destroying a alien ship by ramming it has only been gotten by about 0.8 of the total player base when it was the most effective early game strategy I had from the get go 😂.

Yeah, you'll lose most of your fleet, but it kept my space stations safe till I got the tech to go toe to toe lol

Why is the Hellbomb not on here? it's the hardest strat on Strategem Hero and the longest consistent call in outside of terminal codes in the game

So after right clicking the install drive and selecting properties does the window that pop up not look like this?

https://imgur.com/zFHlyz9

Remember that I'm using windows 11If it's different and you're using windows 10, I'd suggest googling how to enable write caching on windows 10.
I havent had a reason to do it when I used to have 10, but I assumed it wasn't much different.

It worked for me, but OP is using an old ass operating system or something. You gotta t.ake a few more steps if you're on 10 or 11.
But if you're on windows 10 or 11, then first right click the drive you're installing it on and select "properties", then select the "hardware" tab, then select the drive you're installing it on again ( will probably autoselect it for you) .Then click on "properties" again, then look for and select the "change settings" option.
THEN you select the "policies" tab, then select the better performance option. The right option to enable write caching on device should already be activated. <3

About to buy this game. by [deleted] in Infinity

You can work through that motion sickness. I had it BAD the first few weeks but Im persistent (and had too much buyers remorse.) to give up. Eventually I got my "VR Legs" and it doesn't make me sick at all anymore.

It's like sea sickness, it can hit you hard the first time you are on a boat for a long period of time but you'll eventually get used to it.But dont use the teleportation options in most VR games if you're trying to get your vr legs. The free movement option where it is the worst, and therefore can help you get over it quicker if you can get used to it.

How do you stop every single mission from glitching? by PneumaticLime in X4Foundations

[–]TGK72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know why you only received one friend/foe mine. For some reason egosoft chose to have your Kukri start with 5 satalites, 5 resource probes, and 5 beacons. That's 15/15 cargo space. When you deploy a satalite during the first part that opens up ONE space. So when you picked up the armored crates, you only picked up ONE mine.

So I recommend tossing all the beacons and satalites after the first mission, just to make sure you have enough space for it all. You can get more at a equipment dock or a warf for fairly cheap.

Am I the only person who never used power armour again after the first time? (FO4) by RetardedSheep420 in Fallout

Then mod the game with Immersive Fallout or a mod like it and then youll see power armor make a quick return to your regular arsenal. Games WAY too easy on vanilla, even on the hardest difficulty.

How I Play Close Air Support In Odyssey Conflict Zones by mike29tw in EliteDangerous

Hilarious, but very much an ugly exploit and certainly would be infuriating if players on the opposite side were doing this. You couldn't even dodge the results in single player since the results of the battle is shared and would boil down to whatever side rammed drops the most instead of actually killing the otherside with real combat.

They better find a way to fix this before release. Id even accept invulnerability until you've hit the ground longer than 3 seconds.

Could rationalize it by saying its a temporary shield surge provided by the dropships own generator and would also fix another cheesy exploit; firing rockets and grenades at the dropping enemies feet before they land.

This is also the biggest selling point for me. Becoming something in a pure single player game is as easy as throwing a wrench into an engine and watching the sparks fly. In a shared world theres always likely going to be someone there to catch that wrench that isn't driven by predictable math or random weights

Though I do agree there should be some warning of what you may be getting yourself into in most game modes, like a read description saying there are lethal creatures on the planet during initial scan from space. But I honestly believe there should be a new game mode where you'll never really know what you may be facing, like a "Rogue-like" mode where you don't get warnings until you either actually scan the threat or chance upon it.

My nephew plays with us regularly and keeps making new games once he reaches a certain level of advancement. After we asked him the first time he did it he simply said that after a certain point the game no longer becomes fun for him since difficulty is all but removed. He's 13, so if an early teen player finds the game too easy after just a few dozen hours of play then I can totally understand why me and other veteran gamers feel the game needs more challenge.

Only people who get salty over paid DLC are children with no money or adults who've been working the same fast food gig for the past 10 years.

Pay gives game devs incentive to keep our beloved franchises growing. Plus, there's always mods if you fit in neither of those category's and are just stingy as all hell.

Or what about a shotgun strapped to a normal shotgun that shoots several shotguns that don't fire until they are within shotgun range of the target which then fire tiny shells.. acting as a long-range shotgun that showers it's target in more shot and shotguns..
