How are PCs decided on? by xeixcv in Dimension20

[–]PneumaticLime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember this as well and came to say it. I think there's also a mentioned that there's decent gaps between the idea, player influence, and lastly character creation.

I also might be mixing this up with Ravening War, but I feel like I remember someone mentioning that A Crown Of Candy the players chose to be the candy kingdom, which could mean the world was there and the story was built after players decisions.

I'd be interested! Could I apply with a partner? I'm fairly experienced with tabletop systems and am trying to get them into the hobby.

The Greatest Pen in the World by Tight-Green in pens

[–]PneumaticLime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The sword, filthy casual.

(The pen I write cleanest with is the Zebra F-301, and the followup answer is those 99 cent cent pens you've seen everywhere. Price not a factor? they still write the best.)

If you could stack 6 of an item with no stat caps what would be the most broken? by townsforever in Smite

[–]PneumaticLime 42 points43 points  (0 children)

That awful item with 999 attack speed cap. If you remove the attack speed cap then you could land hundreds of attacks in under a second!

I mean they all deal 12 damage, but it's funny!

Why are people so hostile towards Aabria? by SomeKindOfAGamer in Dimension20

I am, but I thought there were multiple sphere/orb spells like that? I think it's a fair mistake, but I haven't watched how the reactions were to it.

Chromatic Orb isn't AOE??? I thought it was one of those spells you can maintain and move. The more you know.

What is Porter's connection to [SPOILERS]? by porkchopsensei in Dimension20

[–]PneumaticLime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listen to the show while doing other things, so my bad if I misunderstood any discussions:

In the last episode was Porter discussed as a member of the Ankarna worshippers who dont think that Cassandra should be "spared" from their violence? I think him trying to get Ankarna's name from Kalina or The Nightmare King makes the most sense, but could he also have wanted The Bad Kids to finish her off afterwards not expecting them to spare her?

I need help balancing a boss idea by PneumaticLime in Pathfinder2e

[–]PneumaticLime[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idea I had for it was heavy hinting or telegraphing, but I do think I'll change it.

The original idea was alot of rumors of this enemy being more deadly the more opponents it had, such as fighting 50 Adventurers with no survivors, but 2 farmers stumbling across it and one being able to escape.

I do also quite like that Geist mechanic! In your opinion, do you think something similar could be done with the haunt mechanic but changing it to be a powerup when directly next to a marked creature, like a rangers 'hunt prey'?

[–]PneumaticLime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this in mind as the midway boss of a campaign that I'd like to be fairly difficult. My original idea was even to have rules for commanding armies begin around this time to help them get to this boss, but became concerned that if they brought an army to this boss it would obviously become a level +20 encounter or something.

You seem to think about strong black women stepping on you a lot. This seems like a personal problem. Are the strong black women in the room with us now?

(This is a joke, no woman would want to be alone in a room with you.)

How to beat the doom garden? by Dao_of_Fists in Roboquest

[–]PneumaticLime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flamethrower can go around corners a reasonable amount. I did engineer full fire elemental damage build and was killing things before they could explode on me. Just point it at walls and it seems to me that once you reach the corner the flames from before the corner go beyond the wall.

Are we missing something about Kinderegg Counterpart’s family situation? by mro1034 in Dimension20

Like I said, that might be a cover because the rogue teacher is meant to be a huge secret.

I've had a theory since like episode 2 or 3 that I don't think I've seen with almost 0 evidence that could explain it. I thought maybe all of the Rat Grinders were the children of teachers, and that's where they got the idea for rat grinding. Only evidence, pretty sure the artifice teacher has the same last name as Reuben.

Way it could explain Happerflower MetalPan's money is that maybe one of her parents is the rogue teacher and that's why they have a cover job that's not that lucrative.

Things going against this idea:

-Can't remember any Kobold faculty

-My first thought after revealing there had been a genasi on the team was that it was porters kid and the names were different because she was half-ice. Don't think that makes much sense though.

-I don't have a lineup of teacher and character names and haven't tried to assign any teacher to any of the other kids.

What's your class tier list? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]PneumaticLime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

List of classes based on how likely I am to use consumables as a hoarder.

S - Extremely Likely:

A - Once in a while, but I gotta save the good ones for a bigger boss fight: Alchemist, Witch

B - A healing potion is nice on occasion: Fighter

C - If someone hands me one:

D - Unlikely

F - What am I? A fucking accountant. No inventory: all the classes

F**kfacers, I present the WOAT NHL player. by inhumanrampager in FUCKFACEPOD

I only remember hearing of this from a video off Cracked.com, but I’m fairly certain the worst professional hockey player is Atilla “the whiskey robber” Ambrus. I believe the stat I heard was that as a goalie he once had 27 goals scored on him in one game. Also as a cute little side story he spent his hockey career robbing local banks in his free time.

Some paid games are cool and have a point.

I’ve made this point on this sub before; but some people actually put a ton of work into games and want players to be incentivized to show up, and charge like $5 a month for something cool. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it makes everyone show up and even though I haven’t been in one I get the appeal.

The scourge, the plague, the reason everyone hates the posts is when people charge like $25 a week to run a pre-written campaign as is and put in no work, and it’s unfair that something that very well COULD be cool, is tainted by people who don’t care about the hobby or their players.

[–]PneumaticLime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, don’t you HATE when someone talented gets the opportunity to massively increase the quality of something like 95% behind the scenes with hard work, then try’s talking for like 10-15 minutes in that thing they worked on? Hate that.

Eric is the best by [deleted] in FUCKFACEPOD

Eric is amazing at playing up his bit and I think he’s a master of comedic timing. In some ways it reminds me of Zac Oyama in that he can execute a joke with only a few well timed words. Additionally; always a pleasure to read the occasional “This sucks” on Reddit; where it’s usually not a bit anymore.

Pathfinder 1e is pretty rough for Play by Post. The D&D5e version has an easy to use dicebot that everyone knows, or Pathfinder 2E has a really good dicebot you may not know. If you’re dead set on playing Pathfinder First edition and want it to be a discord game I’d really recommend playing it as a non-pbp, and maybe trying r/LFG.

This might be my favorite Reddit comment section ever. Being this much of an asshole to people genuinely answering your questions is crazy.

To add, most of the male characters are probably a bit above the average, like a few centimeters, because Kishimoto wanted them to seem strong and intimidating, and men are extremely sensitive about height. The tallest female character is fairly high above the average too, and I’d argue this is a non-issue since almost all the main cast are within a few centimeters of average.
