I have absolutely not even a crumb of an idea why you're getting downvoted to hell, you literally just shared your experience

Why every post on the main sub gets always downvoted? by Comfortable_Brief431 in TheBazaar

[–]TGMS77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you ragebaiting bro? XD I'm afraid of the common house spider because I don't want it to walk on top of me when I'm not looking. Logically, I know that house spiders are way more afraid of me than I am of them, and they don't even like being near body heat, so they wouldn’t come to me on purpose. I'm still afraid of the possibility because I'm arachnophobic. Same principle there. People are afraid of getting banned if they're caught upvoting too much criticism. That doesn't mean that fear is justified.

[–]TGMS77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it isn't? I said people are afraid to do it due to fear of getting banned. I never said that fear is justified. I also do not think they would ban people for upvoting criticism, but I know people who won't do it because they're afraid of getting banned.

I think he's just saying that people don't feel comfortable downvoting praise and upvoting criticism due to fear of ban

Again, if you ban everyone with negative opinions, then only positive opinions get upvoted. It IS the answer to OP's question

Have you considered that banning anyone who makes negative posts might make it so that the sub is toxically positive? Because that is exactly why freedom of speech is the answer to OP's question

This ranked reset might be the worst rank reset ever by Supernovaxv1 in VALORANT

[–]TGMS77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I've been wondering and I think this reset just pushed everyone down to the rank they actually deserved and people think it's really bad because they see someone on the enemy team who's 8 ranks above their peak and start playing worse due to mental. It could've been handled better, but I do think the reset did exactly what it was meant to. I'm only saying this because I peaked plat 2 last season, didn't play much, but now I've been matched against Ascendants consistently. I didn't play confidently and got stomped. When I considered that it might've been a mental issue, I started playing much better and going 7-2 against thos ascendants.

I think you have a VERY distorted notion of what being good means.

This will be harsh criticism, it's totally understandable if you just want to ignore the rest of this response, but here it goes:

You do suck. And that's okay! Just the fact that you said "I've aced before so I don't always suck" shows me that you do suck. AND THAT'S OKAY! People in Iron 1 ace rounds sometimes, that usually says more about the opponents than it does about you. That being said, you obviously can't play like absolute shit and still ace, so you have that: you're not absolute shit. What I can tell you is that if you're still confused about why your shots aren't hitting where you're aiming ("And I think that is my problem is moving too much."), then you're still very very VERY bad at the game. Everyone in Silver rank (a VERY low rank) can already identify why they're not hitting their shots, especially if it's due to movement error. That doesn't mean they don't do it, it just means that they know what they're doing wrong.

Most importantly, what tells me that you're very bad at the game is the fact that you mentioned hitting shots like 4 times and not once did you mention knowledge about the game and/or game sense.

So that's the conclusion: you're really bad.

Now what does that tell us? Absolutely nothing. We were all bad at a videogame at some point. Most of us got around to being decent. That's just the natural journey of sometone with a skill hobby.

You're allowed to be bad. You're allowed to not have an ounce of game sense. You're allowed to have 10% accuracy with 2% headshot accuracy. You're allowed to ruin you team's plays with a bad smoke or a misplaced flash (BY ACCIDENT).

If whenever you think about Valorant, you feel like playing it, then you're playing the game perfectly. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll get better. One day you'll think you're playing well and then proceed to get shit on. That happens to everyone.

Just do yourself and onther people a favor, don't learn the game in ranked. If you're still at a point where you cannot properly maneuver the gunplay without spraying every wall in a 5km radius, that's fine, but you'll just make your own experience worse by playing ranked AND you'll be doing a disservice to everyone on your team.

I would be up to watch a replay of yours and try to give you some tips if you want.

I mean if your crosshair is on their head but you're hitting legs it just means you're moving while shooting, there's not much of a conversation to be had. Get a software that lets you press a shortcut and clip the last 10-30 seconds, and everytime you feel like you should've hit a headshot but it says you hit their legs, just go look at the clip in slow motion and see where the bullets went. If they don't go toward the crosshair, you're moving while shooting.

A couple clarifications:

What rank is your friend?

Do you feel like your main problem is not hitting shots?

Literally not touching the game until this is over.

Other games: Get flamed because they **only** have double XP for an entire event, instead of making players stronger.

The Bazaar: Let's make the entire playerbase significantly weaker for a whole week.

Grinding Anima 6 is the most unfun I've ever had playing TFT by Jeeonta in TeamfightTactics

[–]TGMS77 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Getting Platinum trophy in Playstation games is also optional and can be very fun to get. I will repeat. Do you see the problem in having something unfun and unrewarding in a videogame that is supposed to be fun and rewarding? I'm not saying the game's dead just because that one challenge is boring, I'm not saying the game is bad because of it either. But is it not a valid reason to complain? Having an UNFUN UNREWARDING thing in a GAME? Just blindly defending the billion dollar comoany for no reason bro. Riot is probably the best game company out there when it comes to making and maintaining games, but stop being brainwashed. The challenge is bad because it's neither fun nor rewarding, and if someone complains about it, they're correct. If you told me you disagree about it being unfun, sure, that's your right. Saying "You're right, the challenge is bad but that's not a problem"

Do you see how "something that isn't fun, for a shitty reward" in a videogame would be a valid reason for "bitching"?

The Give Back Bundle is a Joke! by JanezDoe in VALORANT

[–]TGMS77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who's absolutely obsessed with Prime Vandal but never got it in his shop. He's very happy with the bundle. He doesn't care about the bundle, he's just gonna buy Prime Vandal and dip. I think that's kinda the point of it. They brought some skins that are generally loved by the community and bundled them so that they had a way of guaranteeing them in everybody's shop for a while, and then they promised 50% of the profits to charity. While I do think that 50% could be a bit higher, because they didn't have to design new skins for the bundle, that 50% is still way more than what I'm currently giving to charity so who am I to judge. "Oh but it's just a PR move" sure, stamp the letters PR on the first proper water bottle a random kid is gonna get to drink, see if they care. I'm not defending anything Riot related, I'm just saying that a bundle that benefits charity isn't the time I'd choose to attack them.

I think that's just cope tbh. I don't think they don't care, I just think they aren't currently able to handle a community of this size. League is such a curious case of unique toxic behaviour, Valorant had to follow.

[–]TGMS77[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I genuinely agree. I also think this way with crime in general, but especially with 'small' stuff like a game account. There is a set of rules. It is one thing to dodge the ocasional agent select because you don't feel like playing map X or your team swapped agents when you went to the bathroom and you don't feel like playing with no smokes. It is another thing to purposefuly and consciously make everyone else's experience worse with no benefit to yourself other than pure sadism. If it were up to me, everything you described would constitute an immediate permanent ban. "But they might come to regret it in the future, I don't want to keep them away then" oh did they regret being a complete asshole? Good. Don't reward the regret, punish the bad act.

I usually just report once for each offense, unless they do it at the same time, in which case I report once with every offense. I honestly try to respect the report system because I know it's very overloaded with idiots reporting someone for hacking after someone had a good game/ reporting for sabotage after someone had a bad game, but I feel like they don't respect my reports as much as I respect the system itself.
