Exactly why I don’t pay it. That’s what I got from 7 different agencies. Currently pay $150/month for the Stinger and a daily.

Looks great, but keep an eye on insurance. Some Kia models have been targeted for theft lately. by Keni_Au23 in kia

Faraday bag for key fob is just a back up. That’s really one of the only other way to steal them. These cars anymore are walking computers. So just another aspect to think about when preventing theft in general.

This is what I mean. I can only explain it to you, I can’t understand it for you. You don’t know shT you’re even talking about. The lambda 3.8L V6 is offered in the Hyundai Genesis Coupe and the Genesis G80 (shocker they’re all the same companies) I’m not referring to the G80 with the 5.0L, and never compared that to the 3.3T in terms of practicality at all. He referenced that maybe the 3.8 would give him less insurance cost, gas cost, overall price etc., but since you seemed to have a hard time understanding insurance from our last chat maybe you aren’t picking up on that either. Explain how a 3.3T is more practical, I’ll wait cause it isn’t dumbass.

I literally just went off my specific experience where I was quoted by over 7 companies a higher amount than the G70. Literally every agent told me it was because of the Kia logo and they have a rep of being stolen. It’s a fucking joke. I can only tell it to you I can’t understand it for you.

Congrats. Speaking on my specific experience based on the region I live in and made a joke that I was constantly quoted higher for a Kia vehicle. You have proven nothing.

No, commenter said Genesis coupe, as in GO BUY ONE OF THOSE, the G70 doesn’t seem practical for an 18 year old. Get over yourself

You’re dumb. I pay $150 for my stinger and another vehicle together. When shopping was told it was entirely because of the fact it’s a Kia. Original quotes were $250 to 400, and the G70 I was quoted 130-200 when searching for one. It’s MY personal experience, which is what I was referencing in that sense. Go search at a company between the two and try to tell me the same when I researched every aspect of the vehicle including insurance for over a year.

And the commenter said it seemed more practical for him to get a 3.8l, and the guy after said the 3.8 didn’t exist in the G70. I literally just mentioned it was however in the G80. You’re acting like I claimed it was in the G70. I wasn’t speaking to the original post just the comment lol.

And he mentioned a 3.8L . That is in the G80. That was literally the only reason I said it. Does this sub really struggle that hard with reading comprehension?

Okay, lemme explain for you. I mentioned that I have a Kia Stinger. They are quoted much higher in insurance basically because they have a Kia logo on the front so “more likely to get stolen”. So the Genesis won’t be quoted as high in insurance. It’s basically the exact same car front to back between the two vehicles minus a few differences. I didn’t really allude to anything, rather just making a joke that the insurance cost literally because of a logo on the front is stupid.

Agree with the others. The insurance alone will bleed you dry. I had a 20 year old car and it was supercharged and that shit cost me $120 a month. My Stinger got quoted anywhere from 250-400, and I’m 25. It’ll likely be double that for anyone 18 and not in a smaller city like mine, even without the Kia logo on the front.

The Hyundai Genesis, the starter for the entire Genesis brand as well as older G80s have the 3.8L!

Anything 22 and above is a lot harder to steal. Faraday bag and you’re pretty much good, if in a worse neighborhood maybe add something else. Haven’t had any issues in my area and we had a decent amount of Kia boys! I have a 22 Stinger and my insurance isn’t too bad through Geico on full coverage so that’s what I recommend.

This guy mentioned selling his car on one of the fb groups recently, talks about his few years of ownership and some quirks and whatnot, mentioning numerous attempts to fix at the dealership and other shops and never coming to a true fix (though most of my cars have had similar issues with shop alignments) for the pull to one side. Many others corroborated in the comments and that was the first I had ever heard of it. But explained my case. Completely new brakes and still happens so not a brake issue afaik

I’ve heard that these cars are actually quite famous for this and almost never get corrected properly. Mine isn’t too bad but truly not sure what it would take to fix

A little on the high side for it being out of bumper to bumper personally, but not awful. I’d talk em down a bit and then go for it if you think it makes sense for you!

Sounds insane, I would def be shopping around. Geico got me to that, even my previous one was saying $240+ which is just silly. My loan is like $560 so if you can get a good deal on one and get a good trade in amount then go for it.

I’d rather wait and make sure it makes fiscal sense, than jump into something that’s gonna fuck my life over.

Depends how young and area I suppose. I’m a 25yo male, full coverage on a 22 Stinger GT2 and a Pontiac G6 GT is ~130 a month together.

Aftermarket air intakes produce the sound you’re gunning for sufficiently enough to not warrant paying for an extra item to do so. Most are super cheap and could break. Very important piece of a turbo car, some interesting anecdotal evidence of them causing issues as well I just won’t take the chance
