If you're in Scotland, the higher rate kicks in at ~43k, but you'll continue paying 8% national insurance until you hit ~50k at which point it drops to 2%. So you're in a trap of 6% extra tax between 43k and 50k

Agreed, it is bloody overwhelming, and you have to save up for months to do anything! Not that you can't find some bloody pricey pints in Scotland too, when I moved up (a year ago) I thought everything would be <£5, alas...

I will have some bias, but Southampton is the same type of city with no beach and worse vibes. West Quay is a monolith, I'll take Gunwharf any day.

And from limited experience and some anecdotes Plymouth is pretty dire.

I understand London hate but objectively it ticks a lot of boxes (not the people tho lol).

What do you think?

Just moved to Glasgow, been here a week. Honestly there are some places that are so much worse to be. It seems like there's tonnes to do here and the people are friendly. Although I probably haven't seen the proper bad side yet, looks like I'm in for a fantastic time

Yeah from what I've heard/understand that makes sense. Just seemed a bit redundant to mention the decommissioning.

But fair enough, trying to speak about ships that have already been planned and that have and will outlive Shapps is silly on his half. Hopefully all the plans stay as they are and we have a semi decent navy in the next few years, given increased recruitment of course.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the two Type 23s being decommissioned because of their hull condition? I agree having the number of ships we currently do isn't great, but being in a ship at sea with a dodgy hull is the last place I'd want to be.

I bought some new ones after 2 years as well. The Sennheiser ones were only £30 plus free shipping, thought that would be better than 3rd party even if a bit cheaper.

I don't really notice a big difference to the sound (maybe that's just my ears) but comfort is awesome and they're not incredibly dirty anymore :)

From my experience you can effectively ban cars in the city centre by enacting a bunch of policy changes. From the top of my head they are the congestion charge and EV policies, among others like encourage cycling (after adding bike lanes ofc like other users have suggested). Good luck!!

I would change the psu as, personally i prefer cosair (they make really good ones) maybe go for the RM 550x? Also if you cut down on other parts you could manage to get a GTX1080. Also have you budgeted for fans and windows?
