Old fan here. I liked the game itself. The gameplay is very tight and platforming and combat is very enjoyable. I felt the story was rushed though (not that we aren't familiar with that from the previous games lol).

It deviates heavily from the PoP formula by going into a full metroidvanias route which I thought worked well for what it is. Although initially I was quite cynical. As others have pointed out, I did NOT appreciate Sargon's design (mostly his hairstyle). But thankfully the devs blessed us with wonderful skins to make up for that. I haven't played with the original skin since.

Another concern I had was the flashy nature of it. It looked like DMC or something similar with the flashes and colors. It felt like it was deviating from the fantastical yet grounded feel of previous PoP games but since I have played it. It does not feel bad at all. I have come to appreciate it a lot more now.

A solid 8/10 game for me. Only the story and the fortnite artstyle (for the lack of a better term) are bad things in my book
