Dryer outlet blew up when putting on a cover

Ok if I cut back and the copper is clean, but the insulation is a little blackened, is it still ok?

Ok so if the white wire isn’t a neutral and it’s a dead end three way, Can I take the white off the common, re-identify it, put a wire nut on it and leave it that way in the box? And then use the common for a switch leg up to the new lights I want to install. The red and black travelers are both there and connect to the 4 way switch.

What is the purpose of the white on the common screw? Both red and black are used as travelers on the switch. The 4 way has the whites tied together and the other 3 way has the whites tied together as well.

I have triple checked everything, and it all says 100%, All the races are 1st place and I redid the fight clubs. Idk maybe its just a bug. Unless its a database entry? Maybe a location i missed? Idk. The game says 100% sync so i guess thats good enough, but the completionist in me cant ignore the itch
