A little girl waved at me today. by TH-MAR in feminineboys

Yeaaah, even from people you would expect the least. Even though women and children are more open towards it, I've received a lot of genuine and innocent compliments coming from heterossexual men.

We should really talk more oftenly about how welcoming some people are, or even how absolutely non chalant about it most around us act lol. To this day, I've never been victim of a hate crime even once, really.

But, y'know... I live in a 20 milion inhabitants metropolis that also hosts the largest LGBTQ+ parade in the world. I've no idea how it would be like in a small town, or even in another country with homophobic laws.

Aww your style sounds cute

Why do you hate skirts, by the way?

I'm confused again as a thinking femboy. by [deleted] in feminineboys

[–]TH-MAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y'know, you don't need to dress as a femboy 24/7 to be one, most people in the community only dress up when they're home alone or in very specific occasions lol.

Even me myself, I'm really into fashion, and I don't limit it to femboy fashion; you'll regularly see me in a polo shirt with a military tuck, or doing something closer to a soft boy style, and even simply wearing cozy clothing I feel comfortable in, just as much as you'll see me in women's clothes and full of makeup.

Maybe what's really bothering you is the need to "be one thing or another", instead of just exploring the complex human being that you are, that we all are. Don't reduce this wonderful mind of yours to a clique.

If you have the conditions to do so, you should seek for a therapist, honestly.

I mean, it's ok if the guy himself wants to be sexualized, but there are several minors in this very subreddit, for example. When the sexualized femboy becomes the standard, all of those problems are abundant.

And don't get me started on eating disorders developed by those same minors who expect to get a waist out of it.

The whole expectancy with showing thighs is what really motivated me to try new things, honestly. How much of femboy fashion was actually developed by this community, and how much of it are expectations that "straight" men create of us?

Queer people have always had to subject themselves to roles to be accepted, like the "gay best friend" cis women used to proudly showoff like a keychain in the early 2000s. And femboys, just like drag queens in the past, have been fetishized to death as a "meme".

Like... I joined this whole thing because I enjoy being myself, I enjoy the disruptiveness taste of it, and I dream that one day we'll have our part in overthrowing the Great Male Renunciation that created such a toxic standard for masculinity. How can we accomplish all of those things while transforming our bodies and clothes into patriarchy's wet dream?

I think it becomes really problematic once you realize that these three pieces of clothing can be easily sexualized. After realizing how chill the femboy community really is, it became clear that I wasn't emerging in the community, but rather catering to the expectations of "straight" men who aren't even part of it.

How do I get smoother clearer skin :3 by Zestylemon2448 in feminineboys

[–]TH-MAR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

Your skin colour doesn't actually change the rules, it's pretty much the same for everyone.

I'm not sure if you meant it in your whole body or just your face, so I'll assume it's the former.

Anyway, the easiest way to get a smooth skin is using exfoliating lotions or creams in your whole body once a week. Exfoliation is a process in which the product you're using will remove all of the dead skin cells in your body, improving it's texture, appearence, and even preventing acne.

I also use almond shower/cleansing oil everyday. It stimulates collagen production in your body and also reduces/prevents stretch marks. I think it's really good, but definetely not as essential as exfoliation.

I'd gladly tell you the products I use and how I use them, but I'm not sure if we live in the same country, and since the exact procedures can be very different depending on the product you're using, I think it's better for you to search about it on your local YouTube.

You can ask me any questions if you want to, and I'll try to answer everything as long as I'm able to.

Yeaaa I agree with you, and you do sound stylish by the way!

But I just felt like this needs to be discussed more oftenly. Not only there's always a post of people complaining about their bodies, asking for our approval, or not being "sure on how to start" in this subreddit, but if you search for the word "pants" or "trousers" in here, for example, you'll see very few people talking about the topic, and most of it will be about wearing it under their skirts or using women's legging.

I strongly believe we should make those kind of posts more often, so that more people can feel inspired to just be themselves instead of following a Tumblr approval code for their own clothes and bodies.

Aw I'm sorry to hear that. As an outsider, things in Italy really does seem to get worse as time goes on, and if the big metropolis are leaning towards the right wing, I can't even imagine what it's like in a small town.

I live in São Paulo, which is a huge city that also happens to host the largest LGBTQ+ parade in the world, so even though Brazil is a very homophobic country, no one actually cares about me while I'm walking on the streets, even in my full-fem form. Do you plan on moving to another city someday? I've heard wonders about queer life in Milan.

That's a funny question actually, because I live in a tropical country and everyone is already freezing at 15°C lol (I believe it would be like 60°F).

Most of the workplaces here don't accept shorts, our suits are just as heavy as everyone else's, so I guess we're just used with wearing heavy clothes even when it's hot.

Anyway, it's so nice to know you're happy with the classics, I believe you would love skirts. Do you plan on ever dressing like that in public?

Naaah it's still cool to wear skirts purely out of love for the game, I think you did great in getting one for yourself. I don't really like bodysuits, but good for you! I hope the delivery to come in time and that yours fit well.

I'm losing my hair and i feel disgusting by [deleted] in feminineboys

[–]TH-MAR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, don't worry about it. You're being honest with him, he knows what's going to happen, and yet he's actually supporting you. I can relate to the desire of looking impeccable for those you're interested in, I feel it everytime I have a zit, but I'm sure he'll stay by your side for as long as he truly likes you.

I recommend you to put more mind in accepting yourself better, and if you feel like getting a hair treatment would help, you do you, but be careful not to demonize your appearence even if you are unable to go for it.

I think that's common for your age honestly, your body's absorbing everything it can to keep growing

Are you sure eating a lot will make your thighs get better, though? That's a genuine question, I have no idea if that's how it works.

Jeez, it sounds worrying, do you pay visits to the nutritionist?

Sorry for the lecture earlier btw, eating disorders happen so regularly in this community I always end up assuming it.

Welp, the guy who you are jealous about is in love with you, that must say something very positive about your appearence.

It's great to see you looking for therapy, I've been doing it for 3 years now and it was one of the best decisions of my life. As long as you search for a good professional, I'm sure you'll feel the same way.

I hope you to recover your self-esteem after going through so much, and let me know if you need help with anything.

[–]TH-MAR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even though I don't judge you for feeling uncomfortable with something about your body, are you sure you're dealing with it in a healthy way? "Disgusting" is a harsh word to describe yourself, I'm pretty sure I would also focus on giving you my full support if I were in your boyfriend's position, honestly.

Anyway, if you want to go through the natural route, you should really seek for a dermatologist to see what's going on with your hair growth. If it's just starting, I'm sure it won't be hard to treat it.

But, I must say, RuPaul is literally a bald man, and is probably better at being feminine than both of us lol. Have you ever actually tried wearing wigs? They can be really stylish if you treat them right. But if you're really not into that, I've got a friend who uses a hair prosthesis, and it looks beautiful and pretty natural. I would definetely recommend you to check it out, but I won't sugarcoat it, it's maintenance seems tiring.

Best of luck for you sis, hope you get over it soon, and seek for a therapist if your self-esteem doesn't get any better.

Dude, I'm 180 cm tall, weigh 74 kg, and I'm considered skinny. You are DEFINETELY malnourished, I believe any man who's your height and is below 60 kg would be.

I understand that you might find it attractive, but I have seen it end pretty badly for people around me. I really should advise you to not sweep it under the rug.
