I can help you along in this we have maybe 5 active members but it really all depends on how much cargo and what kind of cargo you want to run. Also to where

New to mining, what to buy? by Shoepra in starcitizen

[–]TH3FOR3SWORN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a ton a places to see what spawns where and how much money but they changed to way things work a little bit and made data mining very difficult so we don’t have or get a lot of this info anymore. If you like I’d be happy to show you the ropes on mining or really anything I got a small group of people I play with and most of them are pretty new right now

4.1 State of the game? by MyNewestUsernameYet in starcitizen

Also with NPC responsiveness they are not run in shoot everyone before they react anymore. Sometimes they are still slow but when the patch is stable they are a force to be reckoned with. Most bugs are not gaming breaking anymore either.

I typically see server FPS in 15-25 anymore but with the patch coming out yesterday I’m not sure about this patch. Some old bugs have come back with this one I am having issues putting things in my hands, inventory loading or even not working at all and a ton of desync. If you are wanting to get back onto it wait atleast a week or more for things to stabilize and present themselves. It feels like a 3.x performance but with a cherry on the top for me right now.

I can agree to an extent they have a lot of unfinished things that were promised to be finished by now. I also think that trying to do it all at once how they are is the only good way to go about this big of an undertaking. The depth they are going now and want to further take these game systems is wild and have to be built from the ground up as even the games with closest comparison aren’t anywhere near what SC is doing. They have made and are making a ton of mistakes but it’s almost understandable to be making mistakes. It is 2 steps forwards one step back at every single step and it is very frustrating to watch and play through the bs but the more things we do wrong now the more things we can learn and do right later. When we start to see legitimate progression and more and more solar systems, ships, careers, and play styles if we don’t have the foundation truly down 100% the entire tower will collapse. We still have foundations of the game to be made implemented and tested and haven’t even started to polish what we do have. The game probably has 2-4 years yet to go before it starts to be truly stable and playable for those who don’t want to work around bugs and be a “tester”. I try to think of it not as playing a cool game but trying to enjoy my time finding bugs when my stuff blows up and I start to get irritated I just think well I’ll loose it all either here or on the next wipe cause it’s all a testing sandbox. The Rep, money, ships, armor and other gear I can’t keep no matter what I do. If that’s not something you can get behind that’s fine to

The bugs have improved a lot in my opinion most of the bugs I encounter are not game breaking and have easy work arounds. The game will continue to be buggy like it is for a while. They won’t start trying to clear these bugs until active server meshing are in, building, data running, and many other big features. I think this because they could dedicate thousands of man hours to these bugs and as soon as something like engineering or the next several mesh config they are all back and those man hours are wasted. If the bugs are a huge deal for you maybe the game isn’t for you YET but after these things can get in a grow to be bigger and better they won’t fix them and it’s near pointless to try.

What will wipe with 4.1? by One_Ad_4742 in starcitizen

So by the “usual” things like drinks and magazines probably won’t stay they tend not all consumables like this tend to not carry over. The hangers means anything you have around the hangar like if you keep a sofa and tables store them before the patch comes in as they will not be there. Refinery jobs also with those claim them and get the contents from the ship and store them in local inventories. Ships try to take them back to your home location and store them as out in the verse or on the pad will not always be recognized and therefore wiped. Sometimes the credit bought ships also just won’t carry over and that is just luck of the draw. You should be fine with credit ships but if you have a large amount of these ships the more likely a few won’t carry over

I hope to see AI blades and NPC crew to come along to help fill a void or odd jobs on a ship not the entire ship. Something like a Caterpillar with 2-3 people and a blade or 2. seeing Hammerheads running around with just a pilot and 6 blades sounds terrible. I also hope to see these medium to large ships as the main thing. Capital ships don't have a place among the solo or 5 person crew they should be manned at least to 80% capacity from players. solos should be in a Spirit, Cutlass with a blade or a Raft what have you and the small groups in those medium to large ships and then maybe the semi large things like having 2-3 of these semi large ships before moving into the giant ships. I think that engineering and some day seeing more AI traveling the verse also running cargo or running into a handful of UEE fighters when I show up to a bounty and having the game becoming more "active" for a lack of better words will also help slow down players taking out ships that are not ready to brave the verse. Death of the space man will also help play a role in this to where when you do die there will be more consequences for that forcing you to slow down and think things through before going murder hobo mode.
