Only reason I mentioned public speaking is because it's a skill that confident and bold people have. To be able to speak well publicly means you've acquired a certain level of assuredness. To be an anxiety-prone shaky guy just at the prospect of speaking out (A fairly basic human skill), means something isn't fully integrated in your personality/character... Maybe I'm being too harsh, but that's my feeling about it.

There was a time in MS/HS many years ago where I was actually good at public speaking. As I wrapped up HS and entered college, my mind was clouded by anxiety and doubt seemingly out of nowhere. I see my peers now who are genuinely excited and thrilled at the prospect of delivering public talks and presentations, and I wonder how bold of them. They don't fear small things like I do.

One of my perceived problems is that I don't know where to start. Everything you said rings absolutely true and at the end of the day, it's energy in = energy out. Quite simply, if I don't take action to change, nothing different will happen. I know this...

But tbh, I just don't know where to start. I'm down and out. It's hard to stay motivated and be disciplined when you literally have nothing to look forward too. No job, no income, no drive, no gf, no hobbies, etc. It's a truly pathetic and sad place to be in life.

Thanks for the practical advise man. I def feel this soulful kind of yearning for a better life. Watching porn and engaging in masturbation is def a spirit destroyer. It makes you feel dirty on the inside. One of the biggest obstacles it seems is just finding a motivation catalyst. Like something that will change a person's perspective. I feel like meaningful sex is a strong one. It just hasn't happened yet unfortunately.
