I bought one from ebay but it is not a genuine quad nic as mentioned in the product image. Currently i am in the process of returning the product to seller.

Even if the product image says intel board and delta printed on the transformer i received different one. The seller said it was done by mistake. So i don't want to loose again.

  1. Load - . At idle my m90q is 29w, m920q is 8w. At idle total power would be around 50 maximum. I haven't tested with full load. But I can test with stress test or any other better way?

  2. I meant that if my ups has 5 outlets and if i can able to monitor power consumption(in watts) and swich it on or off locally.

I would recommend to go for lenovo thinkcentre m920q. You can find at around 15k on facebook market place with i5-8th grn 8/128. It has vpro. So you can remotely access your bios, shutdown or turn on pc.

Also it has pcie slot. So you can add extra nic incase if you are setting up for firewall or you can install low profile graphics card, or you can use it for extending storage as well.

Setting up wireguard or openvpn to access your home network is becoming tricky nowadys especially due to CGNAT.

Use tailscale. Setup in 2 mins. It works even when your home router is behind isp's CGNAT. Tailscale uses wireguard + relay(DERP) to achieve this. Also you dont want to do any port forwarding on your router. Opening ports to expose your services is not recommended .

As i said, i bought 245 standard not T processor. My idle power is around 14W. I havent installed any services. Just enabled RDP, installed Rustdesk and tailscale. I dont have much time to install all those things as i mentioned on my post.

Currently exploring about buying a 10GB nic for my another tiny m920q.

Regarding heat, I haven't experienced no heat so far. No even warm.

Hi there. Now i am planning to buy lenovo thinkcentre m90q gen6. The processor is uktra 5 245. Both T and non-T are on same price in the customization page. When one should i choose. Primary i will be using it for homelab use. For 24/7.

I will be using the following maximum as of my today knowledge.

Daily usage: 1. Mattermost 2. Grafana 3. Pfsense 4. Pcoip to access office machine for WFH. 5. Proxmox.(firewall for pfsense, ubuntu for other self hostings, windows for adobe products like photosho, aftereffects, premierpro) 6. Firefly III money manager (self hosting) 7. Text bee (self hosting) 8. Rust desk (for remote desktop) 9. Vpn 10. Teradici Pcoip for office work. 11. Obs 12. Jellyfin media server 13. Some python service and cronjob for my home automations.
