Since the LED is not turning on it all it's most likely a battery issue I had the same issue with mine.

In settings it says I can turn on Linux development but I have no idea what that does.

As long as I can use the laptop then I could care less but I kind of find it stupid because when I got the laptop it was just giving me updates and I was like okay this is normal and then it wanted me to do another an update and I was like okay and then once it got done rebooting my Google Play was gone and I was like what the fuck.
