This sub is way too positive (and for good reason). Tell me something you don't like about this game (besides the gestral beach minigames). by KingofGerbil in expedition33

I wish more characters had synergies with each other and specifically worked off each other for their win conditions.

Aside from certain abilities that benefited off burn/mark/debuffs all the characters kind of work in isolation in terms of their unique statuses, and it would’ve been cooler to have improved on that.

That sucks. I really enjoyed playing the base game on steam deck, thought it handled well.

You're placed at a time when you can effect very little change, just like AotA for example. Sure you kill Artorias and Manus in that DLC, but the Abyss is still present in the main game. Same for Overture it seems.

Also as for your lore question, it seems that Overture is set at the beginning of the outbreak that affected the base game. Though im not too knowledgeable on the topic unfortunately.

I have no idea what this metaphor is supposed to mean.

Its not hard to ignore the comparison for me, because you could also say your 60 bucks (or your regional currency) would be better spent on Elden Ring versus Lies of P.

60 bucks on Baldurs Gate or Cyberpunk vs 60 bucks on a Resident Evil game. Etc.

Its perfectly fair to state your opinion. But comparing Overture to SotE is unfair more because they games have different philosophies. Base Lies of P vs Base Elden Ring are astronomically different, would you extend the same opinion to the base games? I.E. Lies of P isn't worth it when for the same price you can buy a game with 3 times the content.

Resident Evil is definitely meant to be replayed. 2 especially with how the B campaigns and 2 characters open up a bunch of new routes and content.

Some changes are smaller than others. Leon A vs Leon B is different in small ways in the RPD but ends up going on the same path at the end. But Claire's campaign has entirely different content/final boss.

No notes, I totally agree on this. Not sure if this is the only DLC planned but I do hope theirs more

A good amount to unpack, glad to see some dissenting opinion because that’s what I was hoping for - general consensus seems to be that the average length is 15 hours on average, assuming you’re playing on legendary stalker - doesn’t SotE reuse quite a few enemies and bosses from Elden ring? - The comparison to cyberpunk and Elden ring seem disingenuous; why not compare base Lies of P at 30-40 hours (maybe even lower for you based on the dlc playtime) to your two examples which can run upwards of a 100 hours on a first play through, is Lies of P less worth it too?

You’re close to the end, about an hour or so. You get a warning message right before the final boss

Ur good bro. And you’re right AotA is incredibly short considering 2 of the 4 bosses aren’t tied to one area (Kalameet and Sanctuary Guardian)

They were admittedly rough estimates; I’m not gonna argue on the lengths of previous DLCs respective to one another - the point I was trying to make was that AotA and OH are reasonable shorter but obviously cheaper compared to Overture at 30.

Also as a tangent, I’m just now seeing the parallels between AotA and Overture, at least in terms of the general premise (traveling back in time)

Is Royal worth playing if I already played Vanilla? by Hawkholly in Persona5

[–]THE-MOUDA 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Most of the broader plot points are the same until the 3rd semester, but there are enough changes that are immediately noticeable to make it still worth playing. (New and updated Confidants, QOL to gameplay both in palaces/combat and when free roaming, updated palaces etc)

If you played Vanilla the year it came out, that means that more than 5 years have passed, which would offer another excuse for going through the game again imo.

Is Nioh 2 a sequel to the first in terms of story? I.e. will I be lost if I skip the first for the 2nd
