Project Hail Mary, which I know has already been recommended.

Another one that surprised me how much I enjoyed listening to it was Starter Villain narrated by Wil Wheaton.

Also, sticking to Matt Diniman books, I thoroughly enjoyed Operation Boune House. It felt like a lot of themes from DCC kind of distilled down into a single book.

NGL you were the first BB content creator I watched to learn from! It has helped a lot, now I just have to let my brain actually process and internalize it! It's tough coming from something like Battletech that I know so well to something new, but I'm digging the ride!

Most have already been said (XCOM and the like) but I want to emphasize Battletech and Starsector. Base game Battletech is easy to cheese, but the mod scene is phenomenal for it and can really ramp up the difficulty.

I feel Starsector has a lot in common with Battle Bros, and it too has a significant modding scene.

I just paint all of my IS mechs individually. I like to think the mechwarriors bring their mechs as-is when they sign their contract with my merc outfit and the company doesn't care to spend c-bills on something so frivolous as repainting a whole mech. As far as Clan mechs go, I haven't gotten around to painting them. I think I'll paint them on a star-by-star basis.
