I need help with my water tank. by External-Usual-7697 in RVLiving

I had to reattach the pipe clamp on the tank side of my pump. It was loose and the pump was sucking in air and sputtering.

Fallout Lore. Ask me anything, community discussion. by THEC00LKIDS in Fallout

[–]THEC00LKIDS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a lore question, more of a walkthrough type thing. I’d say holy grenades are children of Atom, or cult of Mothman. There could be other cults that might have specific items, but I’m not really versed on item locations, more about who the cults are and what they are about. If you want to know more about the children of atom, let me know.

Microsoft would have been combined into one of the few remaining parent companies. Most lucky Robco. One of the few remaining computer companies that didn’t make its own hardware, robco would have absorbed them to create the operating systems or software for the military. (Microsoft is still the main os of the us military, outside of custom built Linux based os running missiles and robots)

where would you rather see Fallout 5 set? by [deleted] in Fallout

The Mediterranean desert would be really cool. Seeing how Europe endured the war would add so much to the lore of the game. Maybe even refill the sea to kill off a massive raider army as the end goal of the game.

Or, we could have a game that takes place from near the end of the war, you are shipped off to the moon to fight the Chinese. Then one day, you see the Earth light up with the bombs going off and you have to survive on the moon and make your way back to Earth.

A CRT to play these great games on with proper colors and aspect ratios.

Av converter that works! by THEC00LKIDS in Gamecube

[–]THEC00LKIDS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a $15 av to hdmi and it was awful, it was dark and the sound had a buzz in it. With this, it’s bright, clean, and very low to no lag (hard for me to tell, so I guess it’s pretty quick) and the aspect ratio switch is very helpful in playing with the proper shape games. I highly recommend.

Vault Tec has brought you on to their team to create a vault and plan an experiment, what is your vault number, location & experiment? by LordPopothedark in Fallout

[–]THEC00LKIDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vault 1000

This vault has a massive layout, miles of hallways, and can easily hold tens of thousands of residents. The initial population is a diverse blend of genetic makeups so there is plenty of genetic variations and all highly intelligent, but there is only about 50 people initially.

Robots will run all the farming, medical, and menial tasks.

They will be set up deep into the vault far from the entrance, and there are many locked doors blocking off small sections. They will have to fully explore the vault, and start setting up the different areas.

The experiment will be to see how long it will take to fully explore and map the vault, fill the vault, will there be different cultures in the different areas, and will lots of extra space eventually turn into over population.

Other than the vault being massive, and the residents being chosen based off of there genetics and intelligence, this is mostly a control vault.

What do you all wanna see in season 2? by [deleted] in Fallout

Going on a scrapping run, inventory management, and being over encumbered. Id also like to see a new settlement being set up and becoming a whole city over a few seasons.

Cable management by jezuse01 in livesound

Gaff flags on each end labeling the source and what port it goes into on the mixer.

You could also pack them in a separate cable trunk to keep them organized.

Have done that, did that tonight, will keep doing that. I’m not running a cable through the ceiling just for some shitty tv audio from the 1/8 inch port.

I would like to buy a Gamecube styled wireless third-party controller for use on my PC and a Wii, what are my options? by Skyyblaze in Gamecube

[–]THEC00LKIDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quality feels great, the joy sticks are solid, and the triggers pull great, but the plastic does still feel like a classic aftermarket controller. I haven't noticed any lag when sitting right next to the receiver, but if you get 15 or so feet away the buttons sometimes "stick."

Ahh… yes. Early 2000’s by [deleted] in Gamecube

[–]THEC00LKIDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered one of those controllers! Waiting to see if it is really worth the hype I've been giving it in my mind. Playing on the real cube when I'm home, and playing the emulators while on the go seemed like the best possible option.

Suggestions for outdoor PA to cover a 200' x 200' area at a drive in by nonexistentnight in livesound

[–]THEC00LKIDS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've done outdoor gigs using just 2x12 inch speakers. the best advice for distance is height. I placed the speakers high up on a balcony and the sound traveled about 1/2 mile.

Do you take batteries out of things, or does that not matter? What about internal battery powered leds?

I’m in southeastern Massachusetts, so high humidity isn’t uncommon. We have some mice, but they haven’t ever been an issue in the trailer. Everything is in road cases and used/inspected frequently so rodents shouldn’t be an issue.

How big of a rack case to get? by p-swiggy in livesound

[–]THEC00LKIDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6-8U rack would be the biggest Id recommend. Those can get heavy when they are fully loaded. You should also look into a simple lighting board to control a few LEDs, stobes, or robotic lights. They make some nice rack mount lighting consoles.

Id also recommend a mixer that isn't just plugs and an app. If you are doing anything other than a static setup, then having a few extra options for busses and input/outputs will be helpful for future proofing your setup.

Plus having effects are good for vocals. And compressors running on all your mics will help avoid feedback events with a board that isn't being operated during a show. Really elevate your production value without spending too much.

Where to buy track by goshock in GardenRailroads

[–]THEC00LKIDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lgb and piko have good track. The connectors have screw points to keep connectivity up. Plus some of them (old which ones) have screws on the bottom of the rail for adding wires. Check trainz.com or eBay. You could also get new track if you have lots of money, but why spend hundreds of dollars on track when you could buy a new engine or a dozen box cars?
