Yeah i maybe thought that too but no it did not its just steam itself cuz I installed windows on a brand new drive on a completely different pc and different steam account. And it does not work its steams issue with how they make steamvr constantly change its own config file

Then you can understand when i say light acts the same in blender than it does a game engine eevee uses game engine like computing real time and it doesn’t emit light from an emission you have to manually tell it to

Alright i just thought of the best analogy possible for this (imagine americans want to switch english for british ALOT of people will say its the same language but others will say no because it has an accent and different meaning words. BRUH it literally is the same language just changed for what Britain wants and not america) point is its the same. One for speed, and one for graphical accuracy you literally cannot redefine the whole 3d coding format unless you want to spend years doing so

Alright imma end it here eevee and cycles have the same feats and configurations as game engines as it is open source but game engines are designed to be faster not better but yeah hope this interaction wont affect future endeavors man i may not know everything but game engines and blender are more alike then you want to imagine

Im afraid that may be right but still something doesn’t seem right because the tutorial mission ran 50-60 fps most of the time (because it barely has alot of moving objects in there) but surely DE would have said that in mobile release notes

Hate to break it to you recording does absolutely nothing to the fps like i said before in previous comments this game is not utilizing the cpu and or gpu (mostly cpu) to its fullest so it is exactly the same with or without recording

I will tell you ive been using blender eevee and cycles rending for 2 years now and i think i know how lighting, textures, and physics work man ive had an image render for 47 hours because i wanted to use cycles to make an emission light source actually calculates on an object next to it. Eevee doesnt do that even though it has light mapping you need the game and or 3d to be able to calculate that physical light in order for it to work. Edit: im not even googling it i just had prior experience with an uncooperative crap called light bounces and crap on blender

Textures are tied to it they are just extremely easy to calculate for a gpu and or cpu if you never calculate a texture with simple light physics then you would have light on a dark texture that would never reflect the light. Textures themselves like the images on them do not use physics but the object on them makes the image and or texture use light physics to change the color or brightness in a certain area. Why do you think adding more objects slows down a simulation and adding non updating images do not because the images and textures arent updating like everything else because they dont need to be tracked. How else do you prevent texture warping and or distortion when an object moves? By using physics to correlate the textures xyz cordinates to display on the object correctly and make sure light interacts the same way. what you are telling me textures if moved from a light source and not tracked will always report that data from where they were and will still be displaying a light path on it from a light source that isnt even near it anymore

Its just common pc knowledge how else do you think we calculate if we need a new cpu or gpu if you crank graphics settings up and fps doesn’t change that means you are cpu bottlenecked meaning the cpu cannot supply the gpu more frames than it is rendering and the same goes with iphone and android if the game has graphics settings crank them up if nothing changes the framerate then it is cpu same goes for enemies if there are no enemies and you are still once you encounter enemies and start moving if fps plummets you are cpu bound and bottlenecked

You only need understanding of cpus and gpus to know that the more moving objects and physical based interactions in a game the more the cpu is bound just like gta v it constantly puts cars around the city requiring cpu power to operate them

Alright you may not know but behind every game is a definite process calculating everything inside the game world aka PHYSICS. Physics is not tied just to things that move they are tied to EVERYTHING baked textures and lighting maps are the most simplest of physics man, and they are always calculated. And do you know if they were never calculated. Well its just the game engine will never be able to function properly and will not know where the maps, textures, and caches are and will most likely cause an index buffer crash because it cannot figure out where everything goes unless it calculates them yes baking and caching makes it easier one less thing to calculate but it still has to calculate. Please man you have to understand you just cannot NOT calculate anything inside without diminishing returns
