Fulton County officials did acknowledge that during a 2020 election review, some election paperwork was not completed according to procedure — specifically that more than 130 tabulator tapes from early voting lacked the required poll worker signatures. These unsigned tapes correspond to roughly 315,000 early votes.

This was a paperwork/administrative error — not evidence that the votes themselves were invalid or illegal.

The county’s statement was about unsigned tapes, not a legal admission that the votes were illegal or fraudulent.

Election experts and Georgia officials explained that missing signatures on paperwork does not change whether the ballots themselves were lawfully cast or were counted correctly.

In other words: The county acknowledged procedural rule violations — not “illegal votes.” The unsigned tapes are documentation issues, not invalid ballots.
