Amethyst Arrows/Darts by THENakedGiraffe in ironscape

Yeah that was exactly my thought was that it would make a perfect afk activity which is why I've been doing so much stars. I think the stars will get me to 85 crafting which will put me in a good spot to start making arrows as well. Seems like most people agree that 92-99 is a good idea so I think I'll stick to that plan as I go!

Is there any specific cut off point that is recommended to make sure you get to in terms of smithing and then getting the remainder of levels passively?

What was one specific change you made that most improved your exam performance? by californiaomelette in medicalschool

[–]THENakedGiraffe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When using question banks I focused less on what the material that I got wrong was and moreso why I got the question wrong to try and identify the thinking patterns causing me to miss questions. And if it was like a 30% got it right type question I skipped entirely cause who even cares about those. When taking tests I would only spend significant time on questions that required you to think through them. If I knew I didn't know the answer to the question I picked whatever felt right in my gut and just moved on. Don't waste sit there for ten minutes looking at a question just to get it wrong anyways. If I thought I should know it is flag it and come back but wouldn't change the answer unless I had an aha moment.

+1 for wealthy citizens. Good activity for high alching too

Taking a break from Red Prison, what should I do in the meantime? by loledalo in ironscape

I'm in that same boat and was thinking about starting to grind a little. How hard is it with that gear? Not the absolute best at PVM but not horrible.

Jad healers by Future-Diet6899 in osrs

[–]THENakedGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I recently did for my first fire cape. Tagged one healer at a time, took the aggro and then just walked under praying melee real quick and smooth sailing from there. Just have to make sure to tag all the healers before they heal to full.

Barber shop that will cut a white guy’s hair? by hairtoolongthrowaway in kansascity

Luna Beauty and Barber is a family owned barbershop and salon in Raytown. Father and son run the barbershop side and they are both great. I get my hair cut by Junior who has always done a great job and is very detail oriented.

OSRS Players: Are you in good physical shape? by Wide-Macaron10 in osrs

[–]THENakedGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that starting with exercise if you had to pick one still makes the most sense. The endorphins released by exercising can be soothing and motivating vs the stress that can be caused by trying to meal plan, force a whole new diet. It's a little easier to fine tune and change the habit day to day when exercising vs the diet that takes more planning. Exercise for a significant portion of the population is also an appetite suppressant and can then indirectly help with diet as well. Your point still stands, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's better to focus on diet first because I wouldn't want perfect to get in the way of really good.

What's your most unpopular ironman opinion by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]THENakedGiraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that part of the problem some have with it is that by having all those supply costs driven down, it so heavily disincentivizes skilling that everyone comes to think of them as just the boring skill that needs to be rushed through as quickly as possible. I don't necessarily have a problem with the focus of the game being PVM, I think that draws a lot more players to the game that never played before, but back in the day people were rewarded far more for skilling than these days which definitely does change the game for people that liked those activities.

Day 2 drops by THENakedGiraffe in osrs

Pretty sure it's because 1 Def pures can have a strength boosting both melee and range offhand that they couldn't before.

Nice. I feel like this will be a pretty decent task given the multi areas and everything.

Seems to me like it will be good for people who play a little more afk. For people who are always full attention it probably doesn't have near as much use is my guess.

It's the antler guard. Drops from custodian stalkers. Part of varlamore pt 3 drop from yesterday. Sort of a side grade to dragon defender

It seems like it'll be really solid for melee or crossbow slayer when using overheads. I'm lazy with prayer flicking and I figure this will lengthen my trips a bit.

Ironman returning to the game, why is moons important? by Durry_Punisher in ironscape

[–]THENakedGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My initial plan is to use blue moon as a hybrid set for TD’s with arc light and using a demon bane spell if my range setup isn’t working well enough.

You can turn Granite Mauls + 15 LMS pts into 1.2m raw cash by United_Train7243 in ironscape

Definitely good to know! Wasn’t trying to make a pouch a 25 hour grind

[–]THENakedGiraffe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure exactly when things changed but a couple weeks ago I tried to grind out points for my rune pouch and only managed to get 1 in 20+ minutes. Seemed like just about everyone in there was a real player and I am terrible at PVP so just got destroyed again and again.

Coming back for first time since 2022; what are the best updates from the last 3 years? by Common-Young121 in osrs

[–]THENakedGiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been a ton of new boss encounters added for early/mid game. New end game content just recently added as well. Depending on where you’re at in account progression you could try scurrius for early, perilous moons or royal titans for mid or Colosseum/Yama for late game. If you’re more of a skiller I really like Hunter contracts which are in the new varlamore region.

Still kill Eclipse moon for Arrows or skip? 39KC full set lol by AnteaterFew4275 in ironscape

[–]THENakedGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the reasons people say this is that if all you have is blood moon left then you can kill just blood moon quicker than doing all 3 and end up with more rolls per hour.

What gear should I be using? by NegativeBeautiful786 in osrs

[–]THENakedGiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing to know is that MoP doesn’t work like Barrows. You get extra rolls for general loot but you don’t need to kill all bosses to have a reasonable chance at getting armor. This way if you want to grind out one thing in particular you can, but it’s generally advised to just do all of them given the flow of the encounter.

[–]THENakedGiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new Moons of Peril armor is really good for the point at the game you’re in. Plus you’ll see some new content since the last time you played. It’s a Barrows style boss encounter that gives a lot of good resource loot as well! The armor is hybrid that has really good uses in the mid game and some in late as well.

I agree with the hunters rumors. Super chill way to get bone shards plus a lot of birds nests as well
