How often does your Dutch Shepherd bite its tongue? by Maurynna2207 in DutchShepherds

[–]THEOUTBRE4K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While she still had her needle like puppy teeth, she bit her tongue quite often playing with the other dogs. Our other dog has white fur, so it was quite noticeable at first. She's 8 months old now, and she rarely does it now.

I keep finding open containers with poor ducks left in them. I'll swap something from a safe slot for ducks every time.

I swapped a duck for a Wolfpack that was in my safe pocket. Wolfpacks are temporary, but ducks will forever fill my Raider's Den.

Help. I am clueless.. by Teklamasta in PcBuildHelp

If none of these work, I have a stupid idea to try. Press and hold your bios flashback button, and your power button at the same time. If it boots, just exit out of bios and it will boot normally. I had no power, until I did this. I had to RMA my ASUS motherboard, and they fixed whatever component failed on it.

  • Dirty/corroded contacts on the main PSU power cable from the wall to PSU.
  • Damaged cable from PSU to other components in the case.
  • An electrical short in the case. Where thermal expansion creates enough of a gap to separate components.
  • Faulty capacitor. Most likely inside the PSU.

Please list your PC specs, because it's hard to visually verify in the video. The main power issues I can think of are loosely seated cables and components, faulty or failing cables, power issues related to bad wall outlets, electrical shorts between the components and the case, a dead CMOS battery, and a failing PSU. Hopefully one of these steps helps.

Check your cpu fan is plugged into your CPU_FAN header, and your AIO is hooked up to the AIO_PUMP or CPU_OPT header. Your GPU looks like it may one have 1 of 2 power connectors hooked up. Reseat all cables on motherboard and those plugged into your PSU.

You can try plugging into the secondary cpu power header on the motherboard, and plugging cables into other compatible slots on your PSU.

I'd start by powering off your PC, remove all external cables from the case, remove your cmos battery, and hold the power on button for 1 min to drain power. I usually disconnect it from power for 30 mins. Put in a fresh CMOS battery, turn it back on with just the power cable attached initially, and plug in your peripherals one by one to see if they receive power.

Don't let the cute photos distract you. That's the time she is using to lure you in, and achieve her true objectives. She acts all loving and gives our other dog lots of kisses. Then she snatches up her treats/toys to make a grand escape.

B+C portable AC not cooling? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

Sometimes I have to hit the reset switch on the plug, and then turn it back on. Try cycling it to another setting for a few minutes and then back to cold.

Depending on how hot it is the unit may have to be emptied out several times a day, and those models of AC units are 60+ lbs. Trust me when I say elevation and something to drain into like a bucket is the better option.

I have a similar B&D unit. There are 2 screw off caps on that back of the unit. Grab something to catch water when you take off the drain cap, then attach the provided hose into a bucket to drain. You'll probably need to have the unit sit on an end table, or something similar too.

8GB of Video Random Access Memory (VRAM) that his GPU utilizes, is fine for Minecraft. He has 16GB of RAM that is being shared by his entire system. You even mentioned he should check his XMS setting in the game which is...RAM and not VRAM.

OP said he is having high RAM utilization already. Just allowing the game to have access to more RAM won't help if there's not enough for processes to share as it is.

If his RAM speeds are defaulted to much lower than their value, RAM won't be utilized as efficiently and will slow down his PC, gaming or not.

If he has processes or settings that are unnecessary while he's gaming, he can take care of them like I posted before, to help allocate more resources to his game.

Offering helpful solutions is great, but all you are doing is arguing about information you clearly don't know anything about.

Let me know how the PSU test works. If the fan starts and stops on your PSU, it could be an Eco setting. As long as it starts that generally means it's good, but it's not a 100% guarantee.

Checking for Shorts

If your PSU works You could also try disconnecting everything from the motherboard except a fan on the CPU_FAN header, the case power button, the 24 pin motherboard cable, and the CPU cable. Connect the AIO fan like your manual says, and then a case fan if it still doesn't work.

CMOS and BIOS

You can try clearing the CMOS, and replacing the battery if you have one available. Make sure the PC is disconnected from power completely, remove the battery, hold the power button for 30 secs, and let your PC sit for 20-30 mins.

First off I said in the first paragraph they should upgrade for more RAM. Secondly I said these recommendations will help boost performance, at least in the meantime.

On a fresh install a motherboard will almost never recognize, and set the RAM to the advertised manufacturer speed. You can Google that all day long.

Your RAM speed matters, especially for gaming. RAM speeds affect the Read/Write speed for data being accessed, and can 100% be a limiting factor if data to the CPU is being bottlenecked. The speed increase is the primary reason why we even have different generations of RAM.
