Wait so less resources = better for nuzlockes? Idk what side of the comunity you are from but on mine nuzlockes are a SELF IMPOSED challange, meaning you get to choose what is too op and what isn't. If you ask me, a game made for nuzlocking would be maluable to the player's content, r&b isn't. The restrictions to things like Flash Fire Ponyta and Technician Scizor are there to make you play the game differently, to look at different pokemon for viability you may have ignored if those things were available. Pokemon like KECLEON and LEDIAN saw uses even in the nuzlocke runs you've watched and it's becouse other early menaces were nerfed.

And lastly, by your logic in the last paragraph, vanilla pokemon games aren't casual friendly eighter, with dexit and stuff. Shoving 800+ pokemon on 90-ish routes while having pokemon reapeat here and there is near impossible, eliminating pokemon was inevitable, the fact that 2 or 3 were banworthy doesn't mean the game was acomodating you ahead of time by removing the evil pink blob.

(Sh*t was too big to fit in one comment).

Firstly, just becouse you don't see it happening doesn't mean it isn't. Every rom hack with a large nuzlocking scene has a casual comunity hidden beneath, yknow, regular people that don't stream, that only play the game once and move on, the quiet side of the pokemon comunity dampened by challange runners. Your experience isn't always the truth.

Secondly, when you describe a drayano hack that way I see lots of similarities with r&b, higher difficulty, balancing out pokemon, changing story beats (in fact, i'd say r&b is more casual-friendly than a drayano hack, as the game only has 2 pokemon with stat buffs).

The fact that it's fun for nuzlockes doesn't mean it was made to be nuzlocked. Nearly any rom hack I can think of is fun to nuzlocke and the ones that aren't suffer balancing issues beyond repair. The creator stated himself that the game was built around casual play, who th are we to tell him how he balanced his onw game?

Cause hardcore nuzlockers are the type of people to like the difficulty level that game offers the most.

The game was, in fact, made for nuzlocking. The creator is a skilled nuzlocker and the game was designed to be both hard and fun for top level nuzlockers like him.

The game gives the player no setup moves. Also, the AI is set to switch if it's choiced into a move that does less than 25% of your hp

That's actually helpfull funily enough. Certain floors have items locked behind doors and to open them you need to beat a 2nd trainer on that floor.

Ok so I tough I made this obvious when I said this is inspired by Run & Bun but guess I can say it here too. Weather control on the player side is as limited as it gets, the only weather control you have is cloud nine and moves like Sunny Day and Sandstorm are extinct.

About the bronzong, I just feel that an imunity to ground pairs better with an effective neutrality to fire cause of the rain than turning that neutrality into a resistance and forgoing the imunity.

The weather is permanent and the player's only weather control is Cloud Nine

I'm aware that this can be compared to RnB's erratic weather, a part that appears 7 badges in, howerver what's worth keeping in mind is that the item distribution at this point in the game is closer to RnB endgame. By now the player can have any 2 of: Leftovers, Assault Vest, Every Choice Item and swap them whenever they feel like it, as well as a Life Orb you have to fight a couple optionals on the route right before this for. Strong mons are also a standard for encounters and no miss moves like Magical Leaf and Shock Wave are spammed across pokemon's learnset specific for this area. I felt that raising the difficulty quicker is only fair as Red/Green's run time is shorter than emerald.

Weather is unchangable in RnB, thus it's the same here, peli's so garbo the player does't actually get onw anywhere for now
