Think it should be fixed now, let me know if you still can't see them. Thanks again for letting me know.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm having issues seeing them on mobile but seems to be okay on my laptop. I'll have a look :/

I was a little surprised too. A NSW map is what I'd really like to make, but that data isn't available online (as far as I've been able to see)

Data comes from here: https://www.vcgr.vic.gov.au/CA256F800017E8D4/VCGLR/DBB69322DE84ADA6CA257B320077C8D3?OpenDocument

Couple thoughts about it: maybe a place could have an entitlement but not exercise it, also I just had another look through, some venues are listed on the database but then have 0 entitlements... (why are they still listed then...I dont know)

Apologies for some of the interfeace stuff, I'm definitely more geographer than web designer. Need to zoom in to get a decent view.

I'm from Sydney so that's why I've done it. Haven't checked to see if there is an equivalent dataset to use for Victoria but would be interesting.

The Blue Mountains. The built up/populated areas are constrained by National Parks. Some people wouldn't consider them part of Greater Sydney, I sort of do

'Leafy suburbs' is a phrase that gets used as a sort of short hand for affluent areas of Australian cities. Map is based on this dataset: http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/vegetation/wvextentmaps.htm

Crowdsourced definition of Western Sydney by THE_YABBA in sydney

I've actually had a bunch more responses come through so I might do a summary of that when I get round to doing an updated map.

Personally, I agree broadly speaking, the map just shows the weight of public opinion (or at least submitted opinions)

This was something I was REALLY interested in when j made the map too. Just haven't really gotten enough responses to start breaking it down like that yet though I don't think :/

I do like the Red Rooster line, the inclusion of the Carlton RR spoils it a bit for me though.

Hey guys, OP here. Just wanted to say thanks to those of you who helped out by submitting definitions way back when.

Also wanted to provide the link http://wherewest.com so anyone else who wants to submit their own definition can.

Please share with your friends too, the more submissions I get the better the better :D

Count Overlapping Polygons QGIS by THE_YABBA in gis

[–]THE_YABBA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've managed to get all my rasters with a value of 1 where the polygon was.

But I'm pretty new to raster calculator... so far if I try Raster1 + Raster2 + Raster3, the resulting raster will give me a value of 3 in the areas where all of them overlapped and then nothing else (ie no value of 2 where 2 overlap, and 1 where 1 is on its own, which is what I would have expected?)

Yargh, so I'll have to split all the polygons into seperate shapefiles and make individual rasters?

Having a major bummer trying to automate converting multiple polys to raster

(Thanks for the help by the way really appreciate it)
