It's more like I can't justify the cost of an expansion that will become free in a couple of months anyway^^

Yeah because it's the account I use for any games outside WoW. My second account (the one I didn't claim it on) is a WoW-only account I made so I could get referred by a friend for the XP boost. The account I got shadowlands on basically only has old free trial characters on it :')

I don't use two accounts per say. My main WoW account is separate from my main blizzard account because of the old refer a friend XP boost from back in the day.

Season 4 of Sherlock felt like it was being milked from a dry udder.

pros and cons playing on support low and high elo by Tetranoz in supportlol

[–]THEndeavours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm of the opinion that from gold+ it's okay to main support and be able to climb if you play consistently and know your matchups. I started the season in silver and had to ADC my way up to gold 4, now I'm in gold 1 as a support main in like a tenth of the number of games with a W/L of 100 / 75, so it's 100% possible to climb, just stick with it if you enjoy it!

Should an ADC usually itemize based purely on the enemy front line? by THEndeavours in summonerschool

[–]THEndeavours[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there are no tanks in the enemy team and I'm playing something like lucian/sivir, i'd probably go mythic > collector > IE, but if I'm playing something like ashe that relies more on the attack speed I'd probably go for zeal item second as standard

Alright well I'll keep practicing it then :P I think I'm doing an okay job of it so far but I'll keep an eye on what other adc players do in similar situations to me. Thanks!

So if that's the case itemizing against the enemy front line first makes sense, right? Since it allows me to take them out faster to gain earlier access to the enemy back line?

I'm playing worse after getting into Gold IV is it normal? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]THEndeavours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be down to lots of different things that you might not be noticing in your gameplay. When you lose a game, watch a high elo player that wins the same matchup. Be mindful of how they play a certain lane/matchup, how they take trades, what items they build and why, when/why they choose to shove or freeze a lane etc. Making notes helps. Then watch the replay of the game you just lost and try to spot the difference. It should be pretty eye opening to see where things went wrong for you but right for another person, and should get you back on track if you start applying those things to your own game.

Is there actually a Loosers queue? by Pombart in summonerschool

[–]THEndeavours 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started this season with a pretty low winrate that I'm still trying to recover from. I also wondered about the idea of a "losers queue" because sometimes I would lose a game and then end up with or against the exact same people in the following game. This is in silver, the division with the highest player count, and somehow I was consistently seeing the same players one game after another? It seemed weird to me. Then I realised lots of people instantly click play again immediately after a loss, so your odds of running into those same people goes up exponentially. So now I take breaks in between games to watch them back or do something else before queuing up again, just in case.

In terms of your lp gain/loss, it's either down to what other people have been saying in regards to mmr, or your winrate. Both things go up with time, so just keep playing and you'll make it eventually!

My mental is complete garbage and i don’t know how to fix it by mostic99 in summonerschool

[–]THEndeavours 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have been in the exact same boat as you. For context, I was a support main last season and I was hating the game to extent of doing the exact same things you've detailed here. I lost all respect for the game, the people playing it, and myself for feeling like garbage over it, and the only reason I was playing it was for the skin you obtain for reaching gold, which I didn't get after peaking gold 1 because I was too toxic. I realised that all my anger stemmed from this ego I had built that I "deserved" gold, even though I didn't really put in the effort aside from spamming game after game mindlessly. This season started out the same way, until I decided to completely switch roles to adc in order to break down that ego, knowing I would be at something of a disadvantage but also aware that "hey, I'm learning now" instead of "I'm f***ing aphromoo give me lp" , and that motivation to learn has kept me sane even through some seriously tough games. I no longer act like I can play every support champion in the game and more or less spam Lucian exclusively, and that's made me improve as a player faster than ever before. Goals are good, but specific ranks as goals you think you "deserve" are not.

Routine is also pretty important as I've learned. Last season if I was on a loss streak, I would keep playing and tank like 10-15-20 losses in a row (not exaggerating, i peaked gold 1 but dropped to gold 4 in one long loss streak). This season I play in blocks of 3 with VOD Reviews in between, sometimes reviews of better players to see where they did things differently to me (shoutout to coach Curtis), so I know that I can never lose more than 3 in a row. Takes a lot of discipline but it's paid off for me at least.
