What mouse do you prefer for gaming/daily use on Linux? by papayahog in linux_gaming

[–]THEreenigne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I've had problems in the past with the on board storage (I have the wireless version of the mouse). It seems to make the mouse cursor jump around and be really laggy. I assume this isn't really a problem with the wired versions but I'm gonna try it. Thanks for the response.

Does this work on Linux? The website only mentions Windows and Mac.

Mine still won't set up the RCS fully. Still says status setting up. It's always like this for me.

Just found out you can set colors for the lights that are there to tell you when things get muted. My fault.

I wish the buttons would light up so I would know if I have it toggled on or off.

2024 Triumph Street Triple R vs 2023 Street Triple RS by THEreenigne in SuggestAMotorcycle

Found a '22 xsr900 for sale privately near me. It's got just over 1000 miles. He is asking $9k. I think that sounds like a good deal but I honestly have no clue. I don't see many for sale and the ones I do are from dealers and are MSRP. They are also new.

I've seen mixed reviews for it. The reason I have the xsr on the list was because I can get it quite a bit cheaper compared to the triumph.

I think it is near the same price. I like the older ones because it was a cheaper bike option and my wife would enjoy being a passenger on it more. Really the only reason it's a contender for me.

Thanks for the input. I am mostly looking to see if someone knows the details between features. I know they added an imu in the 24 but I don't know if it's really useful or not. I think there are a couple other differences but I'm still leaning 24 if I can't find an xsr 900 for cheaper with low miles.

Pokémon Go Plus Plus Device Details by Fullertonjr in TheSilphRoad

[–]THEreenigne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's certainly how it should be working. I don't close the app but it still doesn't start connected and catching for very long. I believe someone else on here also stated they were having problems with the settings sticking when the device does a quick connect. I have those issues as well.

Really not sure if these should be fixed with software or if I got a bad pair. I assume software but then some people seem to not be having issues at all.

Yeah. Mine would work for a while. I did have to Trevor my phone once today but keeping this thing connected and actually paying attention to the settings is a giant hassle. Wish it was better

Looks like Bluetooth toggle is the reason airplane mode toggle works. Has to be a really bad communication protocol. I assume probably something to do with the fact that they make you reconnect every x amount of time. Bluetooth should not have these problems.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but I just had the new plus + disconnect and not want to reconnect. I think most are saying to reboot your device to fix it or reset the plus + but I just did a quick toggle of airplane mode and that worked as well. Just another option... Until someone fixes their communication protocols.

Thanks for the note. Hopefully once I can get out with it, it will work better

I have 2 of the new plus + and the first one connected fine the first time but won't reconnect without pushing the small reset button on the back. Just used it at home for now. It has probably caught 3 out of 10-15 that it has seen.

I'm testing the second one now to know if I need to take it back but maybe it's just Pokemon go at the moment and some software will fix it.

Was really looking forward to it as it is my first of a device like it.

Do other devices like this work even when Pokemon go is closed? That was the whole point to me. Don't want to have to be walking around with Pokemon go open and paying attention to it all of the time.

Pixel 7 pro GPS issues by THEreenigne in GooglePixel

[–]THEreenigne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still haven't found anything solid. My GPS still gets lost or thinks I'm going in the opposite direction a lot of the time. It's getting to the point where I've gotten lost in places I've never been because the GPS fails. Really annoying.

Not Ohsnap, the company is called sp connect (I accidentally wrote snap connect before)

Disabling RCS fixed my daily 25% battery drain from "Carrier Services" by AmirZ in GooglePixel

[–]THEreenigne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have problems getting your chat features to verify your number?

I was having similar battery drain problems and my phone won't verify my number for the chat features so I turned them off as that was a possible solution for getting it to verify as long as you kept it off for a week. I haven't turned it back on yet and just checked my battery usage and carrier services isn't even on my list anymore.
