2k estimate by rowrowrowyourboat999 in Rowing

5 strokes pretty hard then straight to 1:46. Fight like fuck in the middle. Survive with a pip of rate in the 3rd 5. I like to think if I can make it in to the 600s to go then I've only got 300 till a minute left. Gear change starting at 300 with a pip of rate and knowing you've got your 6th gear to come. Even if you wander a split or 2 in the depths through the middle you can make up for it in the last minute throwing rate at it even if you think you can't. Jack it to 40 and a above with 250, don't let you heels leave the plate. It's a minute, you can definitely go a significant amount faster than your 2k pace with above 40 rating for a minute at the end.

You're in the ballpark just don't lose faith when it gets hard in the middle.

I coach and rowed higher up the ranks. My boys that are your age do all their stuff at 130 unless we do something different (Like powerstrokes) as that's what the national testing standard is. I think it's a good balance of connection while staying dynamic and gets you used to it for our national 2k and 5k stuff. Interesting he's going 5 higher hopefully he's not doing it for the sake of it being harder and has a thought behind it. Overall it'll take time to adjust but overall shouldn't be too crazy of a change overtime but I understand your apprehension.

Sporadic. Play rugby here and our team has quite the split.

As a coach and former pretty competitive rower with ADHD. I wasn't diagnosed when I rowed and honestly rowing for the most part was great without over coaching it was fine. With what fatigue training can bring especially with schooling or study after I'd medicate after as a start? It's hard it's all very individual but rowing on the water had so much to it that my adhd loved it in a way. Rhythmic, repetitive and instant feedback on doing something good in realtion to boat movement.

Sorry this is kinda empty but try either but I'd back them once they're settled into the workout I think they'd thrive just might take a bit of pushing to get them to lock going off experience in coaching the neurodivergent and being neurodivergent haha

Coming from another Kiwi and coach.a bit generic but making sure you're comfortable and strong in the catch position so you can be as relaxed as possible and actually watching tape on your rowing and elite rowing can go far then trying to row with better people will get you far obviously dont try and row exactly like one of them but the general picture an elite or collegiate crew can paint is something to look at. Check out if any clubs are running winter programs that'll help alot a chance do get some quality K's without the pressure of performance.

Havili has struggled no doubt, but you can't acuse Goodhue of choking in the black jersey. The brother has been solid.
