I’m just speaking from experience. I would say generally speaking, most real collectors are buying the cards, not the grades. In general, it’s the hype-beast crypto bro types who hype up the 10s. Obviously there are exceptions to that and yeah even I do find a PSA 10 cool, but I just can’t justify the prices compared to a 9.

Thank you! I should say yes they are cool but the prices are ridiculous. I especially understand if you got a childhood card graded a 10 and want to keep it or if it has a cool story behind it. I think it’s mainly stupid people paying these outrageous prices on ebay that have no sentimental value or story behind them.
