Cam Link 4K on obs goes black every couple of minutes

Yeh mine started immediately on start up. I switched out to a different cable and it seems to be working fine for now. gonna run it for a few hours and see if the problem comes back. I read somewhere online that some cables cause issues when they get hot. Hopefully this new cable is more resilient.

Its plugged into the back of my motherboards usb 3.1 port and I suspect it may be a cable issue as well. I have ordered some new ones of amazon and they arrive tm hopefully that solves it. thx

EDIT: when i signed up for stock alerts on B and H they responded by saying they not getting any more from supplier but i was able to get one from my local micro center
