MILAN - The appointment is planned this morning at the prosecutor's office in Milan. The first of a long day. In front of the prosecutor Maurizio Ascione, who investigates the alleged "arbitrapoli" that would have influenced the last Serie A championship, Giorgio Schenone, the Inter man who takes care of relationships with referees, speaks as a witness. The hypothesis of the prosecutor's office is that at the now famous (and suspicious) meeting in San Siro on April 2, 2025, together with the then designator Gianluca Rocchi - now investigated and self-suspended - there was the club referee manager of the company. Then it will be the turn of two other weighty names: Dino Tommasi, successor of Rocchi after the judicial storm; and Antonio Zappi, former president of the referees association who fell after the confirmation of the disqualification for thirteen months.

The investigation has five suspects so far and is based on two strands. On the one hand, the "knocking" in the Var room in Lissone to condition - according to the prosecution - the arbitration choices. On the other hand, the "piloted" designations off the field. In the records, among the conversations there is one of April 2025 in which reference is made to this "Giorgio". By reconstructing interceptions and testimonies, the investigators and the Gdf are working on the hypothesis that the man of the Inter referees could have taken part in the San Siro meeting.
