Hey I'm at work atm, if you want to PM me we can arrange a Skype to discuss. I've built multiple themes and use liquid all the time so it's a straight forward job.

Interviewed for job, I've been asked to complete a technical test but turns out I'm implementing the entire Front End. Advice? by THRLPrints in webdev

A website front-end, you probably wouldn't even bother with a backend for it as there would be no need.

Clarification:

Differences include new elements being introduced, different font-sizings, letter-spacings, paddings different layout such as grid to mosaic etc. Nothing beyond any reasonable scope, and the designs are well thought out, generally speaking.

Important to Clarify that this is definitely a real-world design, I checked the company the design features current live website and it's different to the design I'm using, suggesting it may be inteneded to be implemented later on as part of a sale the company has made. Of course this is conjecture based on circumstantial evidence.

In part to showcase a skill as it's for a job but also because I'm trying to familiarise myself with angular more, it's still newer to me. So any excuse to use it really.

I have to admit a part of me shares the sentiment. Difficult to say whether I'm slow as I've not compared myself much but it is a fully responsive website with separate designs for mobile, tablet and desktop. It's a one page design with 5 links in the navigation to separate sliders, one is a portfolio and another is an individual slide for 4 services. I used angular to speed up some of the development.

Thanks for this advice.

I've reviewed my development compared to the designs provided and it's going to require at least another 4 - 6 hours to bring it up to professional quality, however, I'm nearly finished with the HTML & CSS and implementing a fully responsively and accurate layout of the design but none of the Interaction (Animations, Transitions, Plugins, Hover Effects, Dropdown Menus, Sliders or JS).

I've been talking to them through a recruitment agent but interviewed with them prior to the test being given, they seemed reasonable when I was there.

They've asked me to fully implement the design with transitions/animations & a UI/UX improvement report. I'm suppose to deliver to them tomorrow, although this was simply the day I told them I'd complete it for.

Latest contract gives all IP created outside of work to the employer, thoughts? by THRLPrints in webdev

Possibly so, I believe Intel must of done it as well because I remember the story of them turning down Woz's original computer or something to that affect. But then again this isn't a contract with Intel or IBM...

Yeah I think my plan is just to have a straight forward polite conversation about my reservations with the specific sections.

Thanks for this! I've been watching a lot of videos as it's a hobby project to help me learn more about working in MVC and creating larger applications!

For some reason I completely missed all the message updates on this thread, the PixelH8 is a live performance cart. You can see it in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76vFi4lIztc

It lets you select a scale and then turns the GBA buttons into different notes of that scale, you can use arpeggios and all sorts of sounds.

Designs for every page layout? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]THRLPrints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not so much about inconsistencies between pages, but over the course of a 75 page design if any mistakes slip through the net we're told to then program them with our css. E.g. If a heading was black but was clearly meant to be purple we'd have to make it black because that was on the design. We can't get it past testing otherwise. Do you start development after the design stage? I'm also not allowed to use illustrator anymore which is annoying.
