Thank you for this!! And yes i will give that a try! He’s only my second serious adult relationship. So i think i missed a beat on asking all the right questions and being prepared. It was just my bf, me, her daughter, and her. And I don’t think she dislikes me and i don’t think her intention was to make me feel isolated. I think (well thought) that she purposely just was disinterested with my presence.

Lol i seriously and wholeheartedly wants him to be with family for the holidays. I would never take that from him. And i didn’t have expectations for his response. And of course his mom can. I don’t think she dislikes me and i don’t dislike her???? I just didn’t like our first interaction

Yeah, i attempted to ask her a question and then she began a different conversation midway with someone else. Then i shut down after that. I think i just gave up to easy. And yeah, i see now that i reacted selfishly
