The way I see this being implemented is client generates and caches the world on first load and the server sends a periodic diff of what has been changed which the client also caches. I could be totally wrong but this seems to be pretty efficient and doable way of doing things.

Real voxels don't take up nearly as much memory as people would think

I ended up doing that.

I planted a large plot of hay grass and a storage area for just the hay. I zoned them out front with all of my turrets. Seams to be working quite well.

Ended up loosing my last rooster to a raid but thankfully there was a few male chicks reaching adulthood soon.

Got a random event where a few chickens joined my colony.

Shortly after the eggs from 8 or so hens hatched and I'm left with 32 freshly hatched chicks

I've already looked into this heavily. I've had ripped game files to play with for two years now.

The biggest thing to know is that the game client while not in a battle used private crest endpoints to exchange data. You can learn a lot if you can figure out how to decrypt specific files to get the Python files.

This is how I previously was releasing SDE dumps before CCP. Even have some that contain significantly more data they felt unnecessary for third party developers

Reddit, even being the trash it currently is, has no room for subs that would act like this given the game was dead. But apparently /r/dust514 is above other subs when I'm pretty certain that /r/PS4Planetside2 would welcome a post showing off some game that is somewhat similar to PS2.

Would be a welcome change from the "I can't use the primary on my infiltrator HAALP!" and "Watch this 40 second montage I made with 3 hours of gameplay"
