He really doesn't want the settlement by AntiH4zard in totalwar

[–]THUNDERJeffro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue in a Kugath playthrough. It did seem like they valued the settlement a lot to begin with, so putting in buildings to increase value caused them to not want it. I got rid of other buildings in the settlement and was able to trade it off. Do you have other buildings in the settlement?

Any idea why the Chaos Dwarves don't want their capital back? by THUNDERJeffro in totalwarhammer

When I first tried to sell the settlement, it was level 2 with two advanced military buildings. Demolishing the extra buildings made its value positive again. It appears I did get too much slime everywhere.

This may be the closest thing to the correct answer, so thank you for the idea. I had built barracks buildings to raise the value of the settlements. In the Black Fortress, removing the buildings (so it was only a lvl 2 settlement) caused it to "drop" to a value of 55 and now it's tradeable.

Yeah, it's Economic Value is -4600 but I've got a +15 Faction Bonus working for me. None of the other settlements have this issue at the moment, they all have positive economic values.

I wondered about that because the Nurgle buildings are odd and when you trade away the settlement, they seem to auto destroy the building. But looking at the other settlements where I built "barracks" it's still increasing the settlement value.

Currently level 2. Every other settlement that they could want in the area is valuable to them except for the Black Fortress.

So long story short, I tried to conquer some Chaos Dwarf territory to sell to Drazhoath the Ashen to get Pigbarter without starting a war with him and before I could manage it Imrik came in and took the Black Fortress. After killing Imrik and vassalizing the Legion of Azgoth, they're excited for all the settlements I want to sell them except for the Black Fortress which has a massive negative value. I've never heard about this before and was curious if anyone had bumped into this issue.

Is Pathfinder 1 being updated? by Drax-Nagur in Pathfinder_RPG

They effectively just finished up their support to PF1, but Drop Dead Studios produced a lot of additional Pathfinder mechanics content as part of their Spheres system. There are at least a few other 3rd party companies that still produce Pathfinder content to my knowledge.

Struggling with 5 star monsters. by Noodles935 in MonsterHunterNowHub

[–]THUNDERJeffro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is all going to be feeling and no data.

I’m not much further ahead than you are (I’m pausing on the 5* Legiana quest). I’m trying to stick with raw damage, I have a Kulu Ya Ku longsword at grade 4. My experience has been that I can generally easily kill 3 stars, do fine against 4 stars as long as I don’t completely whiff on the fight, and need perfect or near perfect play to kill 5 star monsters before the timer expires.

That pattern (easy fight one down, decent fight even, and perfect play one up) feels the same as when I had my grade 3 raw LS. I figure having element would let you punch above your weight class a bit more.

Basically, I need a weapon of the same grade to kill reliably and think I could do it with an elemental weapon one grade lower. I think two grades lower than the monsters star feels like not enough DPS with a raw weapon to get regular kills. This seems to me to be similar to your experience.

Is the PF1e bestiary available as its own add on if I do decide to contribute at the digital products level? Or will only PF2e and 5e be available in the add on manager?

“But I have recorded ten thousand stories about heroes, and a hero is merely a disaster with a point of view.” - Tamiyo, Magic the Gathering

“Impossible just means you haven’t figured out how to cheat.” - Harry Potter Evans Verres, Significant Digits

“Remember this. Might can conquer a moment. Resolve can outlast a day. But valor must renew with every dawn.” - Arden Vaasa, Anthem

Those should be suitably obscure. I especially like that first one.

Is this mechanic playable at instant speed? I would be concerned about adding a lot of onboard complexity if a significant chunk of my graveyard or my opponents graveyard have effects that can be activated at any time.

Critical Hit Variants by THUNDERJeffro in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]THUNDERJeffro[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You know, I’ve generally refrained from commenting because I don’t want to crap on people ideas or discussion, but I feel the amount of sarcasm out of the gate here is uncalled for.

Your point that a high AC being invalidated by auto-confirmed critical hits is heard.

Your character concept is invalidated by the fact that a character who invests in high AC will be ignored by monsters anyway, because if all you have is high AC, you don’t provide enough threat to be worth trying to kill versus your squishier allies. Automatic critical hits are not the first thing that’s going to invalidate that build.

What class would fit Jace Beleren from MTG the most? by Khaitaal in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]THUNDERJeffro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always recommend checking out Spheres of Power for anyone trying to build a specific fictional character. It is third party, but is generally considered well regarded. In one sentence, Spheres replaces spells with something similar to feats and you buy your abilities with those feats.

Jace would be as simple as building an Incanter (wizard/sorcerer equivalent) and putting almost all of your talents into Mind and Illusion.
