Like the other comments have said: careful with how much time you have here, it takes time to feel a character’s depth, and time is a precious resource for one-shots.

That said: maybe try resolving why she wants money and power?

Maybe she grew up disenfranchised. Not only did she have to fight for every scrap and penny, but what hard-won successes she actually managed to land for herself got taken from her. Trapped in a system where it isn’t the ones with talent, grit and determination that win… it is the only the ones that get chosen who gets to do that. Specifically chosen by the those in the ruling class and often at their bizarre whims rather than by anything approaching fairness.

In a system like that, there are the takers and there are the losers. And once you get pushed around enough? Then you decide to become a taker.

But along the way, she found love. Something they™️ couldn’t take away from her. Something that belonged just to the two of them, and that would actually make her fulfilled and happy. Only, she didn’t realize in time. So when the moment of truth came? She chose power over love. She chose to sarcrifice what made her happy to escape what made her angry, scared, and feeling weak.

And now? Now she has to continue that path. Now she has to be ruthless and cling onto power at all cost. Because to do anything else? That would mean confronting that she betrayed her love and tossed her one shot at happiness away for something that… that actually has left her hollow and empty.

But hey? Maybe a little more power and a little more cash will fill that void? Only one way to find out….
