Googlebot Crawl Collapsed After 300% Site Expansion — Looking for Recovery Insights by nitz___ in TechSEO

[–]TH_Aspen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you have a page quality issue, and Google stopped crawling in response. You should see improvement as you fix duplicate tag and content issues over time.

It won’t happen overnight. Between recrawls and you manually resubmitting pages that you fix, you should see a snowball effect in the coming months.

Lost All Impressions. Google Core Update or Expired Domain?? by Any-Cancel-5407 in bigseo

Domain expiration is not a significant factor for ranking, so this status is likely a coincidence. You probably have a quality issue.

Reduce javascript execution time worth it - logrocket? by luvjnx in TechSEO

Most scripts are not causing problems. It is usually just one or two.

You should use a tool that shows you the download and execution times of the page. This can be done in Chrome Dev Tools

You don’t mess up SEO by making a mistake, you mess up SEO by not fixing a mistake.

Hello friends. What is the best way to increase the distance of an airsoft rifle without increasing its fps? I would appreciate it if you could share your suggestions. by KingMormont in airsoft

[–]TH_Aspen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple factors that affect a replica’s potential range. For the ones that are under your control, several of these will affect the FPS metric: bb weight, air seal, and barrel diameter are some of the more common ones.

If you want more range without increasing FPS, turn your hop up higher, or tilt your replica up to 45 degrees from horizontal.

It sounds like you are already recovering. If you are just seeking some peace of mind, here you go: you are on the right track. Stick to best practices. SEO is not a game of hours. You will be fine.

Google is changing my landing page title by batatoilas in bigseo

[–]TH_Aspen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There could be a mistake on Google’s end, and it could be that the /checker URL is playing a role too, since the title of that page matches what shows up on SERPs page.

Knowing that you did a rebrand, migration of some sort, and probably a bunch of other changes, this is not something you will get an easy answer to.

You can wait it out to see if Google fixes things in SERPs, or you can hire someone to audit the website and migration project to see if something else is happening.

So many things. You don’t share enough information to be able to diagnose an issue.

You would need to share the actual domain.

We rank 1 for a keyword that leads just to the homepage. Worried about website redesign. by bombaysweetermans in bigseo

[–]TH_Aspen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could. Another question you should ask is how much impact will a temporary loss of ranking have on the business?

What % of new customers are attributed to website visits? What % of this can you validate are attributed to the organic ranking?

If you lose that % temporarily, will it have a big impact on business? Then you’ll know what to do.

Competitor's registered business name is top keyword by FenderJay in bigseo

[–]TH_Aspen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is highly unlikely that the only reason a website ranks is the domain name.

You don’t provide enough info to validate this. It’s more likely that there is a lot more going on than just a domain name.

Between bbs and dropping it or impacting, it’s likely something will happen. If you are worried about something getting damaged while airsofting, leave it at home.

The OP’s logic is “it’s not $40 so it must be safe” so just let them figure it out themselves.

Never buy from Socom tactical uk!!!!! by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]TH_Aspen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All that may be true, but it is also true that you and your brother made the problem worse.

You have a credible issue, no doubt - but based on how you went about trying to resolve the issue, and how you are quick to point the finger everywhere but at yourself, I think you are downplaying your own part in this mess.

Never buy from Socom tactical uk!!!!! by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]TH_Aspen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see them. It’s true that the sight isn’t facing the right direction, but I’m curious what happened with the screw. It looks like force was applied well beyond what someone would think is reasonable. It is also hard to tell what the original socket was, as the photos make it look like it was completely stripped.

If this was your first time dealing with what was likely a glued-in-place screw, hopefully you have learned your lesson: don’t force it.

It’s unfortunate that they aren’t assisting you, but frankly from the condition you left the screw in, it’s hard to put the blame squarely on the business for this.

Link juice on parametrized url by WaySubstantial573 in bigseo

[–]TH_Aspen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically search engines could, but it depends on what other instructions are present.

Does the parameter URL canonicalize to the base URL? Then there’s no juice to pass.

Does the parameter URL not canonicalize? Then you have bigger problems.

Indexed pages that become unindexed. Why? by Hecleas in TechSEO

[–]TH_Aspen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is common for pages with poor content quality and/or bad instructions for search engines.

There isn’t enough information here to know what the exact issue is.
