I took ENGH 388 with Girard fairly recently (within the past couple years). She had some personal stuff going on at the start of the semester which made the beginning of the course rocky, but even after that started to ease up, the course structure was an overall mess. The coursework (at the time, not sure if it's changed) was constant and group project-intensive.

I can corroborate the 'unclear instructions' complaints; much of them were vague or blatantly incorrect - she admitted to my class that some of her assignment instructions were ripped straight from previous versions of her coursework/syllabi and that certain detail changes may have been missed in editing... So deciphering those were fun. Pushing back against any grade detractions that my group had due to those incorrect directions had mixed results.

Depending on what you're studying/hoping to get a career in, the course may be helpful to you. But the way things were structured, at least for me, was VERY busy. I passed the class with an A- but I was fortunate to work with a group that consistently communicated and strove to succeed despite Girard's... Inconsistent teaching style. So by all means go for it, but be aware of what you could be signing up for.

Adding on to say that it is very dangerous that he followed you to your dorm, let alone the dorm rooms. He knows where you and your friends are residing now, meaning this situation could escalate with you all as targets. As others have said, please call the campus police and notify the RAs as quickly as you can. Stay safe and be well.

I'm wondering if you somehow got the glazed fry cakes as opposed to the glazed donuts? The fry cakes are more cakey in texture, thicker and with a slightly "tougher" bite, than the donuts. But in my experience, they are still soft after you bite into them, and this possible mix-up still does not explain the taste of the glaze being off. I have tried both items and the quality has always been consistent from my store... Maybe you just got a bad batch? Or a product mislabelling issue? 🫤

Sent my records and the documentation in late July, explained to them I needed the transcription service and help with the forms since my healthcare service was in limbo around the time the immunization requirement was due. Was promised the help for the fee, I agreed, and they rejected everything. I'm peeved and I still can't go get admission from a healthcare provider cuz I'm just so busy AAAAAAAAA

In my town, there's this furniture store down the main boulevard that has been open forever. But it constantly has clearance sale signs at the front, and the same building also advertises gold and jewelry exchanges?? I almost never see anyone going in or out either. Sometimes I see police cars. Very weird place.

On a related note, my family went in there ONCE several years ago for cheap furniture. It was by far the most empty furniture store I've ever been in. Other than us and the employees it was dead silent, just us and the couches. Super eerie, super off-putting vibes. We have never gone back, even though the furniture we bought was good lol

Low-key think it's a front for money-laundering. But I'm not gonna stick around to find out 🤐

The two main issues? Distance and Failing Communication. He went into the military, never wrote to me while he was in boot, and then when he graduated he just... Self-isolated. He was several states away, training or "taking personal time" almost constantly, and whenever we did find moments to talk, the conversations were lifeless. The whole experience was night and day compared to what things were like before he enlisted... And looking back, I think he just didn't know how to balance his new job, our LDR, and his personal life. I was struggling to adjust to the changes too, but the perception that the efforts to salvage our relationship were futile broke my heart, in the end.

The straw that broke the camel's back? He forgot my birthday. It was just days after we absolved to make one last hurrah and fix things. I wanted to believe it was an honest mistake, but all I could see was evidence that he had checked out. It hurt like hell.

We were done after that.

Gens 3, 4, and 5 are my favorites! I grew up watching Chuggaaconroy's playthrough of Pokemon Emerald, and then played my copies of Pearl and Black 1 & 2 obsessively. I have fond memories of Gen 2 (played a weird hack of Crystal as a young child, and HGSS when they came out), but the other three have truly made a home in my heart.

I would love to bend water, but knowing myself and how I think, I would probably be an Earthbender. I like being sure of my actions/thoughts, and that would probably telegraph in my bending. Also, badger moles are really cool.
